December 18, 2025Dec 18 Since re-installing Ver 5.4, my Slew function has gone crazy! When I activate Slew, the simulator goes into Warp mode and flies across the scenery at a very rapid rate. I cannot slow it down. Can someone instruct me in how to get it slowed down to a usable speed? Thanks a lot! Steve 7 Miles NW of KGCK
December 18, 2025Dec 18 probably a joystick axis or throttle axis sending a wrong command to move around. I have this all the time with the thrustmaster throttles. My solution is to simply unplug them when I need to use slew mode (e.g. for GSX settings). Dominik
December 18, 2025Dec 18 Yup i concur. Its ur joystick. Mine will do it from time to time. December 19, 2025Dec 19 I agree it sounds like a controller issue. Go into P3D controller settings in the slew section and make sure that axis for joysticks aren't mapped. I use the keyboard only for slew to avoid the warp speed problem. Using the keys, if you press a direction key repeatedly the slew speeds up, to slow down press the key for the reverse direction.
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Author Thanks for all of the assistance...I think I have it figured out...Lots of conflicts that needed to be deleted...It's good to find a helpful P3d forum....Thanks again! Steve 7 Miles NW of KGCK
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Author Sorry to bother everyone again, but where is a good download site for airplanes compatible with P3d Ver 5.4? Thanks for your patience! Steve 7 Miles NW of KGCK
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Author I am especially looking for a good Cessna 150 or 152 for P3d V5.4....Thanks! Steve 7 Miles NW of KGCK
December 19, 2025Dec 19 You could always get something from https://carenado.com - I think they have all of the light GA aircraft from Cessna. I own all of what they sell for P3D and they vary from ok/tolerable to great. The Cessna 172RG 317H are 2 of my favorites.

I found an interesting issue when attempting to log into microsoft.com (via web browser) where I was unable to enter a password due to the cursor instantly tabbing out of the field automatically. I managed to trace the issue to Microsoft's web page code identifying my x-56 controllers as XBox controllers and running alternate XBox controller code. The issue was intermittent, only ever affected the microsoft.com login page and it didn't matter what web browser was being used. Sometimes it wouldn't occur for months, then I assume some MS code bro would make a change and mess things and later some other code bro would set it right and things would work again as they should. As a work around I found if I nudged the x-56 throttle forward just a little, the auto tabbing would stop and I could type again. Goes to show there can be many strange and unexpected issues affecting things. Yes, Carenado does have the C172RG CUTLASS II FSX/P3D and while it's an OK plane, it's not anything to write home about... it's also not anything like the A2A 172... And while Carenado aircraft do look pretty good, they tend to have many bugs and be quite bland overall, still... there is a sale on atm... One thing many Carenado aircraft do have is modding opportunities, take a look in the AVSIM Carenado sub forum. Personally I'd opt for the A2A 172 or even the A2A 182 (disclaimer: I have all of those aircraft).
