December 27, 2025Dec 27 As 2025 comes to a close, what is the ONE thing that you hope 2026 brings to flight simming. I know between hardware, software, addons, updates, patches, native releases, computer components just to mention a few of the general areas we simmers have to rely on to better the hobby it’s hard to narrow it down to just one item. For me, when I think of all the possibilities and the items I could benefit most from, I would put my hopes in for a Real Sim Gear GI 275 hardware that offers all the options for software to run on it. PFD, MFD, EIS. This would be an item we don’t have that’s highly versatile that could work in almost all planes, helos and sailplanes (since all parameters are configurable to the specific airframe) and It doesn’t eat up a lot of panel space (especially the EIS when compared to all the normal gauges it replaces). There’s a lot of things I hope to see in 2026 and I’m highly interested in hearing what others would like 2026 to bring but for me, yeah the GI 275 is my wish. Agree with these wishes, but not holding my breath. Too much graft and greed at all levels of .gov. December 30, 2025Dec 30 I would like to thank Big Pharma for the wonder drugs that increase our lifespan. And Big Brother for building a large army to keep away the vandal hordes from our homes. Big Tesla for the fleet of electric cars which reduces CO2 emissions. Big Microsoft for the enormous sky cloud bringing an evening's entertainment our way. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. For me, I’d love to see better depth in systems and flight modeling across the board, especially for GA aircraft, rather than just more visual polish. Hardware like the GI 275 you mentioned would definitely be a big step toward more flexible, realistic setups too.
