MSFS 2024 CTD once again

Featured Replies

Hello,

For a while everything was working fine but lately approximately 2 weeks ago I began getting CTD again.

Today it happen at airport gate, last time I was actually enroute. Is there anything I can do?? Thanx for any suggestion or help appreciated Very Much...

The obvious question is, did you change anything? Any new addons? Any new settings? Any new drivers? Did you move your PC to a new location (possibly worse airflow) Any updates to BIOS.. etc etc

if it was working fine two weeks ago, but not now, I’d start by eliminating or reverting any changes I made to the sim / Windows / my computer.

if you have made zero changes and it just randomly started happening, I would check temps on the machine.

easiest place to start - empty community folder and then try with a default plane.

Then I would revert back to your / any older driver and see if that helps

Which aircraft? I've had CTD's on my last two PMDG 737 flights since I updated it, one at rotation and one at TOC. These are the first CTD's I've experienced in 2024.

I'll try the usual steps over the weekend to try and identify the culprit.

FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C
BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb

9800X3D B650E • ROG OC RTX 5090 • 64GB DDR5-6000 • VKB Gladiator, STECS, T-Rudder • Tobii 5 • ISP 1 Gbps

I’ve had 2024 since mid last year with PMDG 737 and 777-200s. The the only CTDs I ever had were to do with dodgy addons. Particularly ports over from 2020. Otherwise it seems much more stable than 2020.

I’d start by removing all Community items and see if it still happens. That often helps or at least rules things out.

good luck…

Third flight, another CTD, so I updated nVidia driver from 591.59 to 591.74 and I just completed the same flight.

At gate with Inibuilds A300-600, PMDG 737-800 and PMDG 777-200 while in flight.
