January 19Jan 19 Anyone fly for these guys? Was thinking about joining them again, the website works, but when I select any link nothing happens. The website seems up to date, so I assume an issue on my end, but just checking.
January 19Jan 19 I used to fly for them way back in FS2004 days with Ralph Tofflemire's great "Ready for Pushback" B747-200. It was great fun flying the real cargo routes and I remember having many entertaining chats with fellow pilots and Ralph. An anecdote from those days: I had to fly to Europe from Havana with a fully loaded B742. I promised Ralph to bring him a box of cigars from Cuba. When I was over Florida, engine No.3 went kaputt and I decided to return to Havana. I had to vent fuel for I was way overloaded to land safely. Well, on approach late in the evening a heavy storm developed and I had the devil's time navigating through those thick clouds. On landing I managed to collapse the right main gear on the B742... so, my flight ended without the cigars for Ralph with a broken B742 back where I started from. I never heard the end of it but it was all in good fun. 🙂 I do not know how is Globe Cargo today, but the fact that they are still around says a lot. I'll go and have a look at the website.
January 19Jan 19 https://www.globecargova.org/ Looks like they are active, but you have to be a member before any of the links work. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

Thanks, but the problem is a little deeper than that. When you hit the "Join" button (which should work for all) most of the time I just get a spinning wheel and need to backout of the webpage and try again. Did this many times last night and finally got through. However, this morning, same issues; spinning wheel, can't get in.

Yep, flew for them back in the day as well.... may have even been FS2000. Very regimented, but that added to the fun and emersion.
January 19Jan 19 I just used Paul's link, clicked on join and everything worked fine. Took me straigh to the sign up and no spinning wheel. So it might have been a local connection issue. VPNs are sometimes to blame for this - a couple times a day I'll encounter a link or something that just doesn't work or throws Forbidden and it works fine once I log out of the VPN. Probably Cloudflare etc. IP blacklisting the VPN server

What a memorable story! It sounds like you had quite the adventure with that B742.
