January 19Jan 19 It seems like Microsoft/Adobe could develope AI to remove the ugly photogramic palm trees is southern California and other places and replace them with decent looking palm trees. Do you think this would be within the realm of possibility?
January 20Jan 20 Interesting thought, Todd. I recall there have been some discussions here of MSFS using AI for generating terrain, buildings, objects, and vegetation etc. which they surely do. I like the palm trees a lot myself. Around local Chicago, I run into them only inside the (climate controlled) Conservatories…🙂…I was amazed to see such abundant growth of them in East and Southeast Asian countries. Of course, they are present in warm states such as California, Florida, and Texas. The question is whether AI can efficiently and reliably recreate decent looking palm trees all over the world, or may just develop via World Updates for specific regions… Either way, that would be highly welcome, if it’s possible…I agree…

What it takes away (like palm trees) offsets what it adds IMO...but I do reenable it every once in a while and in relatively short order end up turning it back off. As an airliner flyer don't spend much time low enough for the good side of PG to matter. And...far more important to me is more correct rendering of seasonal vegetation: w/ PG enabled in the dead of winter in Colorado deciduous trees all have their leaves, which disappear when PG is disabled. Chances are it wouldn't affect the area you're interested in though, but I thought I would point it out. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
