but it behaves the same in real time when swithing over to an outside view i have noticed.

or maybe i don’t know how to land an a340 correctly although i doubt that being the reason.

Rob: I know, you’re among those for whom the persistent errors have pretty much rendered the A343 unflyable.

You probably have tried this already, but did you follow the suggestion by Bigmack, in the other A340 thread here i.e., deletion of the WASM folder, un-installation/re-installation of the product, followed by quit/restart of MSFS?

I don’t have a WASM folder in Xbox X, but, I think “re-installation” of the v1.0.7 might have helped me, after my couple of (first ever) sightings of WASM errors.

Since then, I have flown twice (short and long - haul) w/o any recurrent issues.

Do ensure that your My Library entry indeed shows v1.0.7 version next to the A343.

I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone to go to such trouble and lengths as this.

I've tried this and here's how it goes:-

• You're having constant WASM crashes and freezes with the Ini A340

• You delete the WASM folder and uninstall / reinstall the product.

• You then get 1 flight, where you have a chance (not a certainlty) that it will not crash or freeze during the flight.

• On all subsequent flight attemps - if you're affected with this issue - it will just begin crashing or freezing again, because the WASM directory has been rebuilt and nothing has changed to address whatever is the cause of this issue.

For a significant section of the user base of the Ini A340, it is just unusable. I can just about get a 2 hour flight completed with the EIS2 version only. These constraints work about 60% of the time.  If I fly the EIS1 version, or either version for longer than 2 hours, it will freeze and render the flight dead, every single time.

I'm really surprised that their are users in this thread who have commented words to the effect of "I can't do any long-haul flights and it does crash a lot... but I'd still recommend buying it".   If our tolerence of product reliability is that low, it's not surprising that organisations like INI will happily keep selling a product in this state.

Agree, repeating the steps for just one successful flight, is clearly not a productive exercise.

I was thinking the steps might stick for someone else. Anyway, I don’t have to do those steps.

BTW, are you still having issues with the EIS1 cockpit A343? I recall EIS2 works well for you. 

Yesterday, I did specifically a long-haul EIS1, thinking about you…🙂…, and posted a couple of pictures on the other thread. It was a successful flight, but had to stop after a few hours into cruise…no apparent issues encountered…

Yes, I still can't get the EIS1 versions to play nicely for me.  Perhaps my PC is just being snobbish and refusing to render old CRT screens 😄

I'm pleased some people can enjoy the plane though.  It is a really great, immersive plane, when it works properly.   I hope Ini / Asobo can resolve the issue eventually, so that the model can get the credit it deserves, as a classic FS long-haul airliner.  If it worked fully, I would fly it a lot!   In it's place at the moment, I'm just enjoying amazing, back-to-back flights with the TFDi MD-11.   Life ain't too bad!

…🙂…Very strange…why does EIS1 and EIS2 make a difference in the A343 freezing issues and errors…?

Oh well… the WASM freezes are among the world’s unsolved mysteries at the moment.

BTW, with my EIS1 cockpit, I was a bit more apprehensive during my flight yesterday…🙂…

I only have the A350 so no comment on the A340, other than I will just wait for alternatives at this point.

I loaded up the A350 again and it seems way better. SU4 must have fixed something.
