January 25Jan 25 LevelUp 737 NG v2 vs Zibo 737 : Lequel est mieux ? In French, but can be translated... Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 26Jan 26 When working on Speed Trim System, I noticed even when loaded quite back (CG 26%+) Level Up tend to have a quite high trim (6+ for Flaps5 180kts and FlapsUP 250Kts), which makes the STS not working quite well (Gain will reduce to 0% after 6.5 for flaps up and 7 for flaps down). While Zibo trims at 4~5, more realistic and the STS would be much more effective.

I guess that's because it uses default Xp12 flight and systems modelling while the Zibo does it's Magic through plugin-based FM and systems tuning (?) Click it and you'll find the options for legends in all available languages. I hadn’t yet tried LU v2, but on v1 I absolutely couldn’t get the jet hand trimmed. id trim off the control force, the jet would adjust, then as speed changed, trim would change, but it would go from a few hundred fpm to several thousands in less than 30 secs or so. I fly a lot of stick and rudder aircraft and just don’t have severe issues like that in other aircraft. I guess I could let the FCS do the work like IRL, but now i just can’t “unsee” it… I’ll have to try v2 and see if that’s been improved. Edited January 26Jan 26 by UrgentSiesta

Version 2 so far does not have any improvements to the flight model, so save yourself the download. However, there's a guy who does unofficial FM tuning for the LevelUp, reportedly improving matters by an order of a magnitude. Getting to the files is a bit roundabout and requires Discord. The invite to his server is on his Youtube channel (see link in the channel description) and the channel is "flight-model-files" (note: could be invite-only!). Check the pinned messages.
