Getting started with the Fenix A320. Documentation?

Featured Replies

I have been reading so many great things about this add-on, and I was excited to dig into the documentation. Am I correct in understanding that this product shipped with very minimal documentation? I opened up the EFB and there are no checklists. Very surprising, especially considering that this appears to be a serious study level aircraft.

What are others using? Can I use FBW’s documentation, which is excellent? I know the two products are based on different models. I had a look at Airbus docs, but there are a ton of details in the Fenix that won’t be covered.

What do you guys recommend?

Btw, the glass is half full since I held off on getting ChasePlane because it didn’t provide full functionality with the EFB checklists. Now that i see Fenix doesn’t include those, I guess i can order CP now lol.

In the efb under the Pilot Brief tab there are some documents and a checklist there.

Yes. But I really recommend a realworld FCOM...for the A319/320/321 they are all over the place.

One of the things I really appreciated with Black Square and FlightFX is the fact they provide adequate documentation to get proficient with their aircraft. It cut the learning curve considerably. I am tempted to start with FBW or iniBuilds A350 just because they provided adequate documentation. I can circle back to Fenix once I have a better knowledge of the Airbus.

Really surprised.

Thanks guys. Just what I needed. I am going to stick with the Fenix. I just spent a good hour plus in an initial dive watching a video from a real Airbus pilot, and oh boy this is going to be fun. I am finally able to blow the dust off these Thrustmaster Airbus controls. Great stuff!

Ha no documentation but still nice! Look for "Fenix/FSLabs A320 Cadet Training Program Airline2sim" on YT.
