Sorry for jumping in... as stated above, the red means nothing.. If you would like to limit your framerates, there are various ways, but start with this: In the sim, hit esc, then Settings

@Jack_Sawyer So, you are projecting your MSFS2024 (installed on a PC, unlike mine on Xbox…🙂…) on to TV. Right? That looks like an HDMI cable connection to me. So, that should do, I think.

You're not running an Nvidia graphics card? I run three 75" Samsung UHDTV's that are ten years old myself.

Yes, a GeForce 5080.

Then you should be able to set the refresh rate to 30 via the nvidia control panel.

Why would any person put the refresh rate down to 30Hz? You can instantly see the flickering then, and it provides zero benefit over e.g. 60Hz and using the half refresh rate approach. Besides this, switching Hz rates doesnt work per app without additional tools, so you would end up either using 30Hz all the time or constantly switching refresh rates if using MSFS or not. Cumbersome.

No real need to use it. With MSFS 2024 you can manage all your graphic relevant settings in the sim menu. If V-Sinc is greyed out, you have probably Frame Gen set to "NVidia DLSS" or "AMD FSR3" . Set it it to "None" then V-Sync etc will be usable again.

Thanks. This is what I have discovered, it works as you describe

Jack,

If you're happy with your results, keep your new settings.

You can always tweak in the future.

Thanks Jose. I’m going to keep them the way they are now as the sim is working nicely.

Really?
I had someone that was under the same impression you're under. It's completely wrong!

Here we are lumbering along at 30hz, 30fps. I'm in a fighter jet with full afterburner! This from seven years ago with a much slower computer. She flies even better today with the latest hardware.

With my computer and those ten year old Samsung monitors I have, I can run SEVEN monitors running 30/30!

Here we are less than a week ago, I'm running seven monitors @ 30/30. Frames in the sim never budge from 30 and that's in both MS2024 and XP12.

Oh boy, using a YT video to make your point about 30Hz. Absolutely no knowledge detected, end of the discussion...

Those are my videos after numerous tests, all you have is your opinion about instant flickers, yet I don't see instant flickers on that 2024 video... even running multiple monitors! and I agree you have no knowledge, end of discussion!

Is there a particular reason for you to be so rude? Examine what you write. Not one word is constructive but very condescending. You are going on my ignore list. I feel so sorry for you.
