595.71 NVidia Driver framerate issue?

Featured Replies

So, 595.71 came out today, and doing my first flight in the Blacksquare Bonanza in MSFS 2024, when I open a pop-up window like the EFB or ATC, the framerates tank.  Doesn't matter if the pop-up is docked or undocked.  Anyone else have this problem?  I may rollback and see if the problem persists.

No issue here with the new driver, haven’t noticed any difference.

None of the recently update drivers caused any issues for me.  No improvements or no backward steps either.  However, I'm not sure that this new driver is so good, as it looks like both performance and visuals have gone a bit downhill for me.  I will do a bit more testing and probably revert to a previous driver if necessary

It works better than the previous one here, FS24 appears smoother.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Just a bit off-topic. Is it necessary to empty the DX- and GX caches prior to installing a new NVidia-driver?

Thanks,
Hans

I did that cache thing but not this time, I don't see any difference. Sometimes is necessary to empty caches in case of drivers and/or sim problems. For my previous RTX 3080, the best driver was the last 580.xx series.

Not sure Hans but I usually do and usually delete my rolling cache at the same time.  I also check to see whether any newer DLSS files are available in DLSS Swapper.

I used to do so, too. Disadvantage of it (deleting dx and gx caches) is, that all my custom camera views, I uniquely use the Fenix aircraft, went up in smoke as well. I got a tad fed up by over and over again producing new custom views 🙂 Hence my question.
