I mean regardless of "who did it" the fact remains that US ATC staffing is stretched to breaking point - and this would appear to be one of the consequences. Regardless of your political inclination, you surely can't argue that the current state of ATC in America is adequate or acceptable?

And 26 years later, it worsened, with no political ties. For some reason, we can't admit that there's an issue with our ATC. 

 

We need a political entity in this country to fix the problem (which has spanned multiple administrations and has been bubbling for years).  

Government is the problem, and is the solution.  The primary cause of this was a federal employee paid by the government.  It is a political problem, not something people "make" political.  

We need more people working as controllers to prevent people from dying.
