Rejected takeoff at Tampa

Featured Replies

My plan was to fly from Tampa to Orlando with the WB-Sim C172 and Say Intentions for communications and AI traffic. Ambiance was awesome at departure. Settings are to the max and hopefully my PC is strong enough. Reshade makes picture less yellow'ish. Pictures below are just cropped. No color editing.

I was there 15 years ago with a C172 under the exact same iconic canopy of Sheltair FBO:

At that time, arriving with our Cessna 172, we parked under the canopy and get the carpet from the ramp guy (thank you!)

Now, with MSFS24 and Say Intentions, I'm not the only one planning an early departure. Weather is 24hours MSFS Realtime weather.

Crossing runways on taxi to departure is tricky when managed by Say Intentions. The taxi clearance hasn't really decided if it cleared me crossing or not with that message "taxi runway 10, hold short runway XX at Y the taxiway Y and W". One time, ground cleared me crossing (assuming tower delegate this specific runway to cross maybe) just before approaching holding point, most of the time, I stop. I wait and add to call back and even call back several times to get my clearance to cross 😉 from ground.

Say Intentions not only fill the space with planes everywhere, including small GA but create plausible communications. The sense to not be alone without relying on human controlled/animated network like IVAO/VATSIM.

What was planned as a VFR flight becomes just taxi rolling and... a rejected takeoff. My airspeed indicator, for whatever reason, wasn't alive. Back to the canopy of Sheltair.

The WB-Sim C172 Classic, unfortunately no more available ;(

Does it have failures built into it?

Great views from around the airport but too bad you couldn't fly.
