Items Have Disappeared from the Top Toolbar

Featured Replies

When I started MSFS 2024 this morning, 2 items that were in the top toolbar/menu yesterday have disappeared, & some aircraft in the Community folder that were showing up yesterday are now not appearing in the aircraft line up although their files are still in the CF.

Somewhat confusing, as nothing was changed overnight.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Make sure they are enabled in your library inside MSFS 2024. Sometimes it marks items as disabled. Go to My Library from the main menu -> Marketplace, and then check the items in your community list.

That was helpful, thank you.

What I have found is that I have 2 Community folders. One is the long file name of C:\User\Name etc[Limitless], the other is short,  S:\Name\Community.

All of the Community add Ons are in the latter folder, (S), & some are not being recognized. So I put several into the former Community folder [long path] and they are now turning up in MSFS2024.

I also moved a Tool bar item that had disappeared, from the S [Community] to the C [Community, & now it appears.

So, why MSFS2024 is getting picky about the Community folder location, I don't know.

Check your usercfg.opt file for the "packages" location.   I am really surprised by your story.. unless the entire Community folder location has reverted back to the default location..  and nothing in the new location shows up.

A number of things changed overnight at the weekend Bert. My FPS was pegged at 60 FPS on Friday night & next flight on Saturday, it was unpegged. Also some of my Graphics settings were changed. But the oddest was the Community folders contents visibility/disappearance. I read somewhere an update was put through about that time. Still checking the Community contents visibilities.

Ok, but did you check Bert’s suggestion about looking for the “packages” location in usercfg.opt ??
