In their FAQ they state they're using FAIB models without permission because they couldn't get in contact with the creator.

Also says they've removed models in the past because the creators have asked them to remove them.

 

 

OK, we're getting into unhappy territory here with accusations of theft being tossed about, so I'm locking this one down.

If data is made available on a publicly-accessible website with no access control and then used to provide a free public benefit, it's difficult to consider that "stealing".  Now if you put access control in place--encryption, password-protected access etc, and that access protection is circumvented, that's a different story.  The facts surrounding the regrettable demise of FSLTL's data feed are known only to those involved.  What we do know is FR24 has demanded FSLTL stop using their database, and they have announced they are complying.

AVSIM is not the place to adjudicate these issues, so we'll leave those conflicts to be resolved in the appropriate venue.
