Well, I think it’s not easy to reduce complexity for something as complex as the MSFS camera system. Have you ever tried to configure a controller for the Drone Cam, using MSFS default config dialogue

My super short guide to what I do with Chaseplane when using a new plane: -Edit the pilot view to be exactly where I want it, assign it to "up" on my hat -Create new views for pilot left and

Now I'm confused because that's what Spotty26 can do, so why wouldn't it fit your needs?

Thanks Lucky I didn't catch that in watching the video all I saw was a lot of other plane spotting I have no interest in. Is it possible to just use a flyby feature triggered w/ a simple hotkey so there is no need to have any GUI interface in play do you know? If so def that is what I'm after!

I believe so yes, according to this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZUOqC10BZQ

Thanks, it looks possible as they mention the F key for flybys. As long as I can minimize the button interface it should work! It's cheap so is worth a try--thanks ;o)

Let me know if you like it.

TBH, it's just a start as a Flyby utility and here's why: it's not looped and every restart of a Flyby is from the same camera perspective. From my POV that really limits its value but I'm hopeful the developer may get there someday as it's arguably a next step. I would like to be able to start the Flyby and have it repeat from different perspectives, maybe a set of 6 or 8 different angles of view. Then hit Flyby button again to stop it. If I recall ChasePlane's may do that.

Spotty26, Repeats for Flyby is by key O already and also with a joystick button in v1.3 coming any day now. You can also use the Xbox sticks or keyboard keys to alter the camera position during Flyby.

Which keyboard key to alter camera position?

I read that an update is coming on a different thread.

MSFS

I read that an update is coming on a different thread.

That will certainly help and I would definitely want one that when I started Flyby, would automatically loop (if the loop option O or whatever was enabled) AND also automatically run thru a series of different camera perspectives. At that point it will be a pretty complete Flyby feature which is the only reason I bought it.

Does anyone know how to set up the pilot cam so that I can use my hat switch to pan just like I did with default cams? This program is a nightmare to set up. I'm already regreting this purchase. FSRealistic + should have been designed to work with default cams. Even //42 support can't help me get this camera working as it should.

It's very simple; during install say "YES" to Chaseplane converting your controls. Once installed "Follow the setup wizard", it will allow you to set all basic camera positions. Once the basics are setup you can: (1) Set up each camera yourself or (2) Download a chaseplane camera set for which ever aircraft you are currently flying.
