One thing the iFly does extraordinarily well compared to other airliners I've tried in MSFS is their handling of thrust/pitch coupling, and pitch moments with configuration changes.Every time you move the throttles (in an airplane with underslung engines and not much fly by wire), you need pitch trim if you want to stay in trim. If you don't, you'll be out of trim. Same with flap and even gear extension / retraction. This is probably one of the first things I noticed about the iFly flight model - I found myself using trim habits in it from the real airplane, where once you're comfortable hand flying, you'll find yourself anticipating trim state changes and trimming them out as they happen. I caught myself doing it in the sim and realized it was working. If you're used to the PMDG or other sim airliners, this'll feel exaggerated to you until you get used to it, but it's pretty good.Yes, I know how to use a trim, and the Ifly B38m requires a lot of trim, more than a Spitfire sometimes. 😁 Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
18 hours ago18 hr I did two test flights tonight to compare performance between the iFly and the Fenix A320 - Ketchikan to Juneau. Same settings for both flights and using AutoFPS along with GPU-Z to monitor VRAM usage. It’s such a bummer because the 737 is seemingly still a hog after the hotfix. Granted, I’m on a somewhat “outdated” rig @ i7 11-700k, 3080 with 32 gb of ram, but the test still stands. My vram usage was around 68-70% with Fenix, but pushing 97% with the 737. I love iFly’s version of the Max. I flew it for hours and hours in 2020, but I’m just wondering what’s going on with the optimization for this newest update. I’m not here to be critical, as I’m likely one of their happiest customers, but man I wish I could get this thing to run closer to comparable high-end addons. It really says something though that even when dealing with choppy performance, I still can’t get enough of this absolute banger of a plane.

I assume it's not supposed to do that so letting you know.Cheers and ThanksAlso, please consider using the External model for the MAX, instead of the VC interior. Because of this, the very nice app, Spotty26, displays the MAX in a corrupted view. They state the reason the MAX does this is because the VC interior model does not play well with the new Camera SDK which is what they are using to bring FlyBy and Tower and other views back to users for a very reasonable cost. All my other planes display Flyby sequences very well, except for the MAX because of this issue: Edited 3 hours ago3 hr by Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
