There was nothing wrong with the Germany second. It would have stood in the Premier League.

Having watched the WC since 1970 I have to say the drop-off by Germany and Brazil is very noticeable. Anyone who watched Brazil in 1970 especially the final against Italy would know. That was on a different planet.

No doubt Doctor Congo will park the bus tomorrow. It’s becoming a sad trend.

I watched the Morocco - Netherlands game this morning. Morocco deserved their victory, they thoroughly outplayed the Dutch....

....having said that, the Netherlands lost because they - bizarrely - played with a bus-parking back five....🤷‍♂️

England need to learn to adapt when they face "bus parking" opposition. That is what champions do.

Agreed. Their 0-0 against Spain was commendable. 2-2 against Uruguay too although I didn’t see that as it was on too late.

I watched the highlights of Netherlands v Morocco. Why can’t professional footballers take penalties? These stuttering run-ups are pathetic.

Looks like France have peaked too early! Well I hope they have because if they keep playing like this the rest might as well not bother. 🙄

I think the final will be between France and either England or Argentina now.
