Had it's fair share of issues, but I think this is something worth ironing out. What kind of aspects? Genuinely curious, I'm not a fan of using devmode (obviously) and that pain point might be solvable 🤷♂️There are multiple pain points. Most annoying is terraforming. What you see in the project mode is not always the actual finished result in the built project, which needs many rounds of trial and error. It is also not possible to directly import a DEM file. Somewhat annoying is that some fence objects (3rd party ones) cannot be placed using the vector placement tool. Also the vector placement tool has issues with elevation changes.Painted lines are annoying because while very useful, you can only use them on default surfaces. If you add new surface polygons they won't show, and you'll need custom lines/materials. Adding custom materials to the material library can also be problematic with lots of trial and error.Another annoying aspect is not so much the SDK itself but how scenery is layered in MSFS. If you delete the default apron polygons, you have to redraw everything manually. In most cases the default aprons overlay the ortho correctly, but in others, their data is wrong or the default settings are wrong, and you cannot add a runway with new texture on top (it won't show through, regardless of priority setting). I had this problem recently with KPRB...

Without that or if the project was not 'built' initially, yes it's very easy to lose work/content unfortunately...Which leads to my point exactly. There are too many failure modes. There should be some way to just place and move objects without an advanced engineering degree. (I exaggerate, but that's how it feels sometimes...)I'm not a noob, either. I've been simming since the Commodore 64 in 1982. I've used pretty much every third party scenery and object placement program over the years, and never had this kind of problem. If what I describe isn't possible with FS24, please tell me and I'll shut up... 😄 Master Sergeant, U.S. Air Force, Retired Former T-33A Crew Chief Former B-1B Crew Chief / Flightline Maintenance Expediter Former Learjet Corp. Is it possible to remove the protection for that plot, and for the plot north of it ? Or do I have to pick somewhere else ?By the way. Join our discord, we'll figure it out!Yes, it's telling me that I have made one claim, a plot I didn't want, and that in order to make another claim (the correct one), I need to have 25000 aeros. I honestly can't work out why I ended up claiming a plot I didn't want, but I daresay it was a slip of the mouse. Can you reset the plots, and either assign them to me, or let me start again ? I need the plot with Upottery in it, and the plot adjacent to the north of it, because the airfield site crosses the border between the two plots.I'm very sorry, but I hate Discord - I hope there is some other way of communicating, as we are doing here. July 17Jul 17 So I tried this out. Clearly quite a lot of work has gone into the concept and it does a fair job of "dumbing down", or shall I say streamlining, the usual process in the SDK related to developing airport sceneries. That being said, it touches on the basics only so anyone looking for advanced or possibly even some intermediate options will obviously be limited to an extent. From what I gather above, there is a reluctance to monetize this concept however there seems to be quite a lot of content and functionality referring to additional perks for project supporters, which reads as monetization. Which I get - you've put in a lot of work and you also can't have users adding hundreds of objects and eating up build time for free over the long haul. It just naturally puts a hard cap on what can be done at the entry level.Mostly this seems to be aimed at building lightweight fictional airports (or seems ideally suited for that) with the aim in mind to build an environment to enable flights between user's claimed spots. I say this only because the limits in place for an entry level account seem to inhibit anything but building your ideal small personal airport. Maybe I have it wrong - my choice would be to learn the SDK if the goal is to create an accurate real-world (even if small) airport scenery so there would be no restrictions on things like number of objects to place and other customizations that quickly become priorities in passion projects like that. Also I found that having familiarity with the SDK also helped make the most out of what is offered here.Anyway, don't mean to poke holes in it - I had fun and if anyone using the app to synch sceneries wants to stop in at O11 Loma Vista (fictional) airstrip just south of Big Sur CA, we'll leave the lavatory unlocked for ya 😆 Edited July 17Jul 17 by Stoopy "That's what" - She

My personal experience with the sdk might not be considered "Advanced", which is in part a large reason why I made this tool. What would be some intermediate/advanced things you'd want to be added? Hammer on nail on the monetization - I don't want to charge the everyday simmer and want to keep it free, and the supporters make that possible. Wouldn't be possible without them, and people generally don't become supporters without some sort of perks. I also don't want people to join, claim 10 spots, build giant ugly airports and cause havoc. A progression system really helps weed those folks out, and people who are able to make those large airports, will be the people willing to put in the effort to make them look nice. Eventually, I'll release an offline tool with no limits for experimenting without the MP aspect.I plan to support creation of full on international airports, this isn't going to be some small airport tool. Will be fun :)Look forward to seeing what you build up!
