AI Traffic Experimental

Featured Replies

Anyone notice that the AI Traffic setting is now marked experimental.

Seems to work well and I'm liking it so far.

I think this means some effort is going into refining ATC.

In your Online settings set traffic type to AI Offline (experimental).

They relabelled it in SU4. Not sure why they made that change.

It's been marked as experimental for months now. My theory is that they marked it as experimental to reflect the fact that it doesn't work very well.

That's why I was wondering because it works well for me now unlike in the past. Also, I don't use traffic apps.

I trried it sometime ago, not sure if it's been updated (?)

I noticed that when injecting "real time" traffic or that "experimental" AI option, my MSFS 2024 stutters, and that's about the single/only occasions it does so.

Overall MSFS 2024 performs smooth as silk in my outdated rig (specs in my sig), but when I try to use the built in traffic, appart from the fact that default liveries leave a lot to be desired, and some aircraft types, like GA, park at spots where they're not supposed to, or aieliners t aerodromes where IRL only GA will park, it relly tanks my performance.

Heva to try it again !

Yes, and the sim also features “experimental “ gusty cross winds and turbulence 🙂

Yesterday I saw for the first time a white A330 at a gate at PAJN using AI traffic. The GA traffic was parked ok.

Anyone noticed if recent changes have impacted GAIST ships package visibility?
