I had a flight after the update. A 2hr cruise...a 2hr cruise! 😆

Performance was fine, but I had Task Manager running and the NVidia overlay FPS counter. I was hunting bear after all. In previous flights, it started really well but a sudden performance tanking would always happen at some point.

I made it to FL300 without any performance hits. I was looking closely zoomed-in on DU1 and suddenly, it happened. FPS cratered. I looked at TM and sure enough, my GPU utilization was pegged at 99% where before it was in the 60-75% range.

My initial thought was to just exit the sim and mutter a bit about developers. Nope. Gonna see it through.

It seems that having the Route / Legs page on my DU5 open for extended periods was the culprit. Just switching to the Route/POS REPORT page and waiting a few minutes got me back to a 'normal' fps. There was still the slow-down as I passed below 1000 feet AGL through the landing, but was better than previous versions. So, don't linger on the ROUTE/LEGS page?

My signature is out of date, I'm using a GTX5080 now. My GTX3090 blew up.
