You will get indications, but the cabin rate of change goes to zero, and the cabin altitudes and temperatures remain unchanged even in cruise. Even the emergency depressurization switch doesn't work unless a pack is on, which is wrong because the switch just opens the outflow valve.

Definitely understandable! Especially trying to get vetted into Marketplace approval and first months sales, but wait this is the very tactic that just word not allowed customers off and makes them despise Marketplace to begin with.🤣 Following through with super prompt patch fix updates after release helps win back a little trust I guess.😂

I saw a performance improvement on my PC after the 1.0.3 update. Not a huge difference, but it's noticeably better.

I'll still do some flights to get a better idea of this improvement, but this is already a good start for optimization.

I can't update via simmarket. It says update available. I download the update (it claims), install it and the aircraft is disabled. Enable the aircraft and go back to square one.

Anyone else see this? A very frustrating product. Back to the Maddog I guess.

Select first a different airplane before updating. It's basically blocked from updating when in "use" so to say.

Hey! Was reading some of the opinions here and I want to say thank you to those who’ve purchased our aircraft! The overall sentiment mentions performance is a real kicker, and we’re fully focused on performance as our top priority. 1.0.3 drops the coming Tuesday with the initial round of improvements, and every patch weekly after that focused on performance as well. It’s a new aircraft and we released 3 days ago - we’re grateful for all reception thus far, many updates are coming to alleviate the top issues!

No one ever said that.

The developers said the Goal is to simulate all functions in normal operations.

Like the Aerosoft A320 Line back in FSX days.

Switching off the packs in flight is not normal operation.

So their corect function does not need to be simulated.

if you have a pack failure in normal operation you turn them off. In normal operation cabin pressurisation should change along with temperature so the correct function needs to be simulated. One can argue the marketing they have put in the FAQ. "All core aircraft systems have been rewritten to achieve our standards for accuracy and performance."

Here is my personal opinion on this product. I'll preface this by saying I have no intention of debating everyone who disagrees with me. If you love this airplane, that's great. I have friends whose opinions I respect that genuinely enjoy it. This review simply isn't for you. If you're already offended by that, I'd recommend stopping here.

To me, the product is mediocre at best. The launch was an absolute train wreck. Even before release, the streamer previews, the drama, and the team's responses on Discord left a bad impression. It wasn't a great look, and it gave me a sour taste from the beginning. Normally I have a pretty good sense of whether an aircraft is going to click with me, but my curiosity got the better of me this time. The airlines and routes the A220 opens up were enough to convince me to give it a shot. Unfortunately, once I actually started flying it, the disappointment came quickly.

The first thing that stood out was the sound package. I think Tyler from Echo19 is a genuinely good guy, but I've always felt his sound work falls short of some of the best products on the market. The engine sounds are decent, but everything else feels flat, exaggerated, or simply lifeless. The airplane never feels alive. Landings lack the rattles and vibration that help sell the illusion, while extending the landing gear sounds like you're hanging your head out the window. It's completely overdone.

Beyond that, nothing about this aircraft feels groundbreaking. The EFB is essentially the same basic iniBuilds tablet we've had since the A300. The systems depth feels fairly shallow, and the overall package just comes across as inexpensive despite carrying a $66 price tag. Performance also left a lot to be desired. I experienced multiple simulator crashes, and I ran into some odd automation behavior as well. Just tonight, after installing version 0.3, the aircraft began accelerating rapidly during descent while in V/S with autothrottle engaged at around 6,500 feet. Disconnecting the autothrottle immediately corrected the issue. Reengaging it worked for a while, but the problem returned on a 10 mile final. At that point, I simply closed the simulator.

If someone asked whether I recommend buying this aircraft, my answer would be no. In my opinion, its biggest selling point is that it's an A220. It gives the community access to new airlines and routes that we haven't really had before, and I think that's carrying a lot of the excitement. Beyond that, I don't find it particularly impressive. If you love it, I'm genuinely glad you're enjoying it. For me, I'll be looking forward to upcoming releases like the BB 757 and the iniBuilds A380. As for the Synaptics A220, it's headed to the hangar, and I don't see myself coming back to it anytime soon.

Well some of the systems like the electrical are very well done, it just seems odd they would skip a basic thing like the pressurization system that most other products in this category simulate. I do like a lot of things about the product, so I hope they can fix what's missing.

The fact is it's not working in normal operation has it is per BrianW post. So it needs to be simulated.
