Guess this means the upgrade price 2020->2024 for the 737NG is not affected by this sale; would still be $30 for the -700 or -800, or -$94 for the whole fleet. Hope to be wrong, though.

I will never buy another PMDG aircraft again, I don't care how cheap it is. Not after the way the removed their P3D products from sale, and then they stopped supporting the PMDG Operations Center app so I can no longer use it to download official liveries for all of my aircraft I own for FSX and P3D.

Do any developers still support P3D?

Whether we agree, or not, sales of FSX and P3D products fell off a cliff in 2020 and accelerated towards the ground in 2024.
There is not really any point in developing, or even selling, anything for P3D when a typical comparison shows that when a
product for MSFS 2024 sells 305 copies so far this year, the MSFS 2020 version sells 116 and the FSX/P3D version, 6 copies.
The lack of support could have been easily mitigated, given the long notice period, by setting everything up before the end date.

I don't wish to get into a debate with you, but there's still plenty of people that use legacy flight simulators for many different reasons. I personally like to use both new and old flight simulators.

It is impossible that any FSX or P3D products were sold at all this year. PMDG pulled their FSX products back in 2021 and they pulled their P3D products in 2024, so that is why no copies are being sold, though they still supported OC2 for both FSX & P3D aircraft until a few months ago.

There was no notice period, at least for the P3D aircraft and the discontinuation of OC2 which was a few months ago. I am unsure if there was any notice for the FSX products when they were removed from sale. There was no notice or announcement at all from them about retiring their P3D fleet of aircraft. I already had the FSX products I wanted so I wasn't paying attention to that. There was still P3D products I had planned to buy for P3Dv5, and I am not the only one.

Granted, I found out later that they did announce the retirement of OC2 on their own official PMDG forum ahead of time, but they did not announce it anywhere else. No email announcements, no announcements on popular forums or anywhere else. Since most FSX and P3D users don't regularly check the official PMDG forum, the retirement of OC2 was a big surprise for many.

I refuse to buy the aircraft again and give them my money for MSFS 2020 or 2024.

As of 26MAY26, the PMDG Operations Center 2.0 has been removed from service.

As announced in June of 2025, the PMDG OC2.0 was removed from service on 26MAY26 and is no longer operational.  Customers in possession of legacy product installers for FSX or P3D may still see their PMDG product attempt to install the OC2 application, but the application will not run or be useful in any way due to this retirement from service.

Customers who wish to install liveries may do so manually, but not automated tools exist to accomplish this task.  We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but after more than a decade of service OC2 was no longer supportable in the operational environment.

I guess that the only remedy would have been for them to have sent emails to every customer, in the hope that they would all receive and then read them, not to mention that they may then interpret the words to mean something else.
I expect that an announcement on their website seemed like the obvious solution that it is.
I am sure that you will be missed at the PMDG shop.
