Saturday at 01:53 PM5 days I can see that my sim is v 1.8.14.0, so it has been updated, but even before that I blamed Chase plane for my sims strange behavior. But No, it wasn't CP's fault either. After playing for a while suddenly I can't escape back to the main menu or even to get to the settings and I have un/reinstalled MS2024 twice now and then it is fine for a while, but then it stops again. So no way to escape back and the only way to stop it or get out of it, is ctrl+alt+delete and go to the task manger and end it there. It's getting pretty frustrating, and I don't have any clue to why it's happening, so if you have any idea what's going on, and of course, how to fix it, I'm all ears. In the meantime I guess Aerofly4 will have to do :-) and funny enough I have NEVER had any problem with that. Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. I agree it should not have been CP, but w/o doing something to prove that how can you be sure? I thought prior to your install of CP you were not having issues, correct? One of the issues that always bothered me about CP is that it is not a separate app it literally interferes with and replaces default behaviors unlike many addons we use. Saturday at 04:17 PM5 days Author I went under settings/apps and uninstalled Chase plane from there, and could use MS2024 without problems after that, but I had the same problem with no escape both before and after. I have used MS2024 a couple of times after the uninstall of CP, and after un/reinstall of MS2024 and suddenly today it stopped having the esc possibility again. I could use the game still, but as I mentioned, I could only get out of it by Ctrl/alt/delete my way out of it. Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. Saturday at 08:26 PM5 days Step 1: Stop uninstalling/reinstalling. Your keybinds are stored in the cloud, so any problem with them will just keep coming back. Uninstalling is doing nothing., Step 2: Deep breath. What are you doing right before the problem happens? My guess is your messing with your keyboard mappings. Step 3: Try clicking the mouse in the cockpit somewhere. Your window might be losing focus. Step 4: Set your keyboard to Keyboard 2024 Transversal and reset to defaults as needed. Step 5: When in doubt, alt-f4 will close a window properly. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
Sunday at 01:12 AM5 days Are you using a wireless keyboard by chance? I remember having issues with my old bluetooth keyboard back in the 2020 days, they go to sleep pretty aggressively to save battery and the sim can have issues when pressing a key to wake the keyboard up. Back then the issue resulted in CTD's, but I could see this causing input issues like you're experiencing. I eventually solved by replacing my keyboard with a Logitech wireless keyboard that has its own dongle instead of bluetooth, and I disabled all the USB sleep settings I could find in device manager (although this probably wasn't needed). If you have a spare keyboard to try, that would be a quick way to confirm or deny a hardware issue.

Sunday at 06:20 AM5 days Author I use a wireless keyboard with a dongle so no bluetooth, and I have never had any problems with that before, so I doubt it's the keyboard. I also changed the battery in it just in case. 9 hours ago, kerosene31 said:Step 1: Stop uninstalling/reinstalling. No, just flying, when I discovered that I couldn't get back to the main menu. I have tried everything, but no luck. Is that in settings you mean?Ok, but all I could do was alt-ctrl-delete to close it down.So I'm really lost to what has happened, I guess I'll try to start it again and see if I can get in to settings to see if I can see anything "suspicious" Thanks for the suggestions though, I hope I can find out what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong.
