The AIG forum has been down for over two weeks. The only info is available on Discord. I haven’t registered with that platform.

If @Kaiii3 could give an update here please I’m sure many would appreciate it.

@everyone We are somewhat back after a bit of a break.

Some things happened, and the forum had to be taken into maintenance mode.

But we have just turned off the forum maintenance, and therefore the forum is back for now, but it's a "light" version we are running. Just the standard theme for now, and far less visuals.

Things will continue more or less as normal, but currently we are looking into transferring to a different forum software. It's currently in testing phase internally.

We'll keep you updated.

we can not provide any timeline at the moment. We are more or less now running on a "emergency"-mode to keep some stuff running while repairing (or in some cases "rebuildiung") other stuff. The main goal at the moment is to finish the summer season for the flightplans.

@Kaiii3 , was it a hostile attack or just bad luck? Good to see the site running again. 👍

This was posted on the AIG discord on 23 September, no more info since then:

"Unfortunately, we had to take the forum offline again this morning. Any activity on the forum causes its condition to deteriorate further. At this point, it is unlikely that the forum will be reopened. We are continuing to test new forum software and will keep you updated. The functionality of AIM and AIGTC remains unaffected, and the release of new flight plans is proceeding as planned. However, there will likely be a brief pause after the end of the 2026 summer season to begin work on the winter season within the new forum."

Thanks SD. Hopefully the forum isn’t lost forever. Lots of useful discussion there including for AiCompanion.

There's some info on their Discord that the forum was hacked.

When I posted above, it seems I overlooked this bit of info from Kai 3 days ago:

Hey guys. Short update on the Server/Website/Forum situation.

• Server is stable again and we will push updates to AIM and TC very soon to work with the backend changes.

• Website is getting a total rework (you will see for now the WIP Webpage when you visit the site)

• Forum is still "offline", chances to bring it fully back are near 0 (we might be able to keep it read only). The Team is currently evaluating new forum software solutions.

Why would anyone want to hack a flight simulation website? There are some very strange people in this world.
