Controllers won't call it because it's mostly the pilots fault, (Their version, IMHO) That way they shed accountability, as it is mostly the PIC that takes the fall.Besides it's a big sky. Hi Todd,Did you have the Real Air 172 before this, or were you just using the default Cessna's? Not many I've seen in real life have them, as the ones I fly just have the basics plus a GPS now. (I rent)As for VOR, I hear you. Lately Iv's been downloading VOR Approaches from AirNav, printing them and doing the VOR Approaches in the real Air172, no Autopilot activated at all. (Nice to have, but really the best way to learn approaches IMHO is to hand fly them.Yesterday in the sim, I flew from Burbank Glendale, to the Paradise VOR, the Homeland VOR, then Oceanside VOR, then Tijuana VOR, then flew all the way down to Ensenada, then switched aircraft and flew a VOR approach into Mazatlan, and then General Something in Mexico City. (Mexico loves to name airports after generals) ;-)I love VOR Flying, GPS is nice, but we will have VOR's for quite a while, IMHO. It is not about gaining anything. It is a chance for the community to come together. If you participated you might realize that.Last year, I even flew a few flights on the MP Server that fs.com was using accompanying a few of the pilots I knew on their routes. And it was great fun.We have members from the other sites signing up here, and vice versa with some of us signing up over there, and wishing them well.If you come here to get away from competitive spirit. Great for you, but at least show a little compassion for those of us that do enjoy this race, which is only once a year.I think for One Month or so out of twelve, it certainly does not create what you think it does. It is quite the contrary, IMHO, great fun for all, win, lose, or draw. And it does take a lot more skill than people realize, but its not something that can't be learned quickly.It creates friendships and you get to know others you have not known before.You say there is lack of interest. I saw a server yesterday with about 6 persons running FSNav. Their names show up twice, and there seemed to be no problem while I was observing.I personally don't have FS Nav so I can't really talk much about its functionality or its use for this race.Is that the program that was used to plan the route last year?Joe

Great, thanks Tom.I think the only issue which I think Jeroen brought up was that since FSHost is run on Bushnet, I think he mentione d aconcern with FSnav or another program running while on Multi-Player.I'll see if I can find the thread on that.
