  3. Killer is right. Great stuff Christian.Bob
  4. Thanks for the reply Cristian. tileproxy.sys gives lots of messages which say it cant find the file allocation information, but it seems to load ok and also run fine.I downloaded a new version of diskeeper, my disk defragger which has a new feature to arrange files in the most eficient way for speedier reading. I have turned off that feature to see if that was the cause of all this.thanks again Bob
  5. sorry, I dont know where the ugly face came from either.it was supposed to be an open parenthesis.bob
  6. first, let me say that TP is really a great program. Thanks for it.I don't know what I did, but every time tp is started, it starts giving messages :tileproxy.sys: pre create: changing rilename on the fly to progfiles, (followed by the address of the particular bgl file),ending with (ptx(number).bgl.on). It renames all the files and stops. As soon as flight simulator is started it does it again. The only thing thatI remember doing is to change services.I uninstalled tp, deleted everything I could find that looked like it belonged to tp, reinstalled tp and it still does it. Any suggestions about what to try next?TP beta 5 by the way. Thanks, Bob
  7. WHAT IN THE CAT HAIR IS GOING ON? I access the site and get a whole new facade. I pay my money to join and then logon again and the new facade is gone. Right back to the same old stuff. Boo Hoo!!!! Seriously, it's about time you started charging for the site. It's worth every penny.bob deyo

Fsuipc has a control function that puts the control axes on a curve which is controllable by the user. Near the center, less control and nearer the ends more. This maintains the full movement with the 'stick' all the way to the stops. Works like a charm.
  9. The Realair SF260 makes a good GA aircraft and it's aerobatic besides.
  10. I have the same pedal problems, so it isn't system related.bob deyo
  11. Thanks guys, I'll try it.
  12. Please pardon my ignorance. What's B E V?Thanks, Bob Deyo

My video card is only a 9600 but the difference with the dll is startling. There's a fence near my parking place and without the dll it looks about as much like a fence as my cat does. With the dll it not only looks like a fence, but you can tell that there are four straight strands above the chain links that must represent the barbed wire on top. And no shimmering in the trees. Nice piece of work.Bob Deyo
  14. With three hard drives, can 2 be hooked up in a raid one array and the other hooked to the normal ide port? It would be nice to have flight sim on the third disk. Thanks,
  15. Looks good. When is it to be released?Bob Deyo
  16. Yeah, theyr'e ok. Just wish they had a 4 gig processor for 20 bucks.Bob
  17. I'm running XP. Yeah, 1 gig will do you no good. If I had $200 I'd have a better video card.Bob
  18. WHATNELL are crew announcements?Bob
  19. I've followed several threads which argued about whether there was any advantage in having 1 gig of memory over having 512 meg, for flight simulator. The clincher in the argument always seemed to be that if you looked at memory usage it was always less than 512m, so there was no need for more memory.I believe that argument is erroneous. My system was an amd 1600+ running at 1.4 mh. (not overclocked) with 512m of system memory. and the video, a GEF2 TI 500. (not overclocked) Today I found 512m of memory at a price that I thought might not come again in my lifetime, so I bought it. The new memory was installed and the agp aperture was changed from 64 to 256.The first thing that was different was that avsim.com loaded much quicker than normal. (ok, it might be because the internet was faster than normal.)The second thing was that fs2004 was MUCH smoother than normal. Before installing the new memory, when setting the propeller pitch, in vc mode, The needle didn't follow the movement of the prop control smoothly. It was jerky and was hard to set properly. With the added memory, the needle followed the control input very smoothly. Also, when in a turn, the ball was much easier to center. One other thing I noted. I have the frame rate set at 25 max. Before the memory change, this varied quite a large amount. From 25 to 15 or so depending what I was flying over and looking at. After the memory change the frame rate seldom dropped below 24.I checked the memory usage several times and it was never over 350 meg. This leads me to believe that Microsoft does things differently, depending on the amount of memory available, because there was nothing changed on the system other than agp aperture and the added memory.Bob
  20. Agile, good looking, lots of variants. Spectacular!!!!Thanks Maule team.Bob deyo
  21. Thanks for the post Mark, the blurry thing happened here too and I haven't figured out what to do about it? Any ideas anyone?
  22. Thanks guys.Great flyer.Bob
  23. Hi Chris,I think agp aperture is set at 64.I just ran fs2002 for a check and there's no difference in frame rate with that sim. Only fs2004.Bob Deyo
  24. It seems to be aircraft dependent on my system. I haven't checked them all out but there is no hit with the c-172, and with the sm-260 there is a drop from 24 to 10/11.Chris's fix has no effect. The system is an amd xp1400 with gef2 ti 500 video card.Bob Deyo
  25. I had the same question and asked CH Products. They said to use a silicone based lubricant.Bob Deyo
