October 11, 200322 yr Hello All,We have just released our updated RealAir C172sp for Fs2004, and as with Fs2002, this aircraft is now fully spinnable and has all the usual RealAir flight model refinements.Once again we have been commissioned by the Aeronautical Industry Training Centre in Melbourne to produce this enhancement of the default Cessna for their pilot training programme. Please note this aircraft does have nice custom textures (by Bill Womak) but its primary roll is to provide a platform for circuit (pattern), climb, cruise and approach procedures plus of course stall and spin recovery in a variety of attitudes. Please read the install and setup instructions thoroughly before installing. We hope you enjoy this free gift, which is now in the Avsim Library.Rob Young - Sean MoloneyRealAir Simulationswww.realairsimulations.com Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

October 11, 200322 yr Hi Rob,Can't wait for the SF.260 update.Anyway, can't find the download for the 172. Can a link be posted?Cheers,
October 11, 200322 yr Rob, Just installed the 172.All I can say is 'wonderful'. Its even better than it was in 2002.In my opinion, the most accurate air file I have ever experienced.Robin. Robin
October 11, 200322 yr To find the file, just do a search on "realair" then sort by date. It is right on top. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
October 11, 200322 yr I flew a 172 Skyhawk for quite a few years and did not seem to have the wind noise this model seems to have. Is there anyway to turn the wind noise down. Other than that the model seems very realistic. Great Job. Thanks for this terrific GA aircraft.
October 11, 200322 yr "Is there anyway to turn the wind noise down."Inside the "Sound" folder of the RealAir C172 you'll find the sound.cfg file. Make a back-up of this file, then open it in NotePad.About 3/4 of the way down the file is this section:{WIND_SOUND}<<<<-----------should be square bracketsfilename=RealAirC172windminimum_volume=5000maximum_volume=9930minimum_rate=0.36maximum_rate=1.2minimum_speed=30.0maximum_speed=160.0Adjust the "minimum_volume" and "maximum_volume" sections until you get the wind sound you want.Cheers,
October 11, 200322 yr Thank you, guys, for a very nice free gift. I am looking forward to your future releases.David
