  1. Hi Vollmey,You might try starting them in the reverse order... FSFK then RC4. I run both with no issues.
  2. >> member's post and not Avsim'sI disagree... there was an announcement on the front page, so I consider that to be an "AVSIM post". It initially only showed Gamespot as an option, so I am sure that Gamespot did benefit from this link, since many probably went out there (and paid) to get the file.
  3. Michael,>I actually cheer for a Philly team!Shouldn't you be cheering for the 'Skins??? Even I cheer for them (even though I now live in Cowboys country).:-bang

    Payware VA

Hi,The fleet for [a href=http://www.nobleair.com]Noble Air[/a] includes repaints of many of the popular payware aircraft (such as LDS and PMDG) along with many freeware aircraft. Feel free to visit the hangar at the web site.
  5. Yep... nothing to worry about. You will only hear those beeps when running in debug mode.
  6. Yes, Noble Air does this. At the ORD Hub, for example, you have the option of bidding on your flight assignments or having them randomly assigned based on you aircraft quals.[a href=http://www.nobleair.com/]Noble Air VA[/a][a href=http://www.nobleord.com/]Noble Air VA - KORD Hub[/a]Thanks!
  7. Hi Roger,Glad to hear that you were able to get everything working.:-beerchug
  8. Hi Roger,Sorry for the delay in responding... long day at the office yesterday, and I did not log in last night when I got home.To share your FS2004 folder, on your FS PC, open Windows Explorer and navigate to your FS2004 folder. Right click on the FS2004 folder. Select Sharing and Security from the popup menu. Enter a share name, for example "FS2004". Click OK. The folder icon for the FS2004 directory should now have a hand underneath the folder to indicate that the folder is shared. To use the shared folder, on your RC PC, open Windows Explorer. Select the Tools --> Map Network Drive option. Select an unused drive letter from the drop down list. In the folder name field, type ROPIPOshare_name (where share_name = the name you specified on the FS RC). Click Finish. Hopefully, a new window will soon open with the contents of the FS2004 directory.Hopefully this will work. If not it, we may need to apply some security settings.
  9. Hi Roger,I have a drive mapped to the FS2004 folder on my RC4 PC. Then when I rebuild the scenery database, and RC prompts me for the location, I just need to enter the new drive location, such as "G:". The reason specifying the "C" drive does not work is that FS2004 is not located on the C drive of the RC4 PC.You might also be able to do something like "", but I have never actually tried that method. There may be other ways to do this as well, but I have found that using the mapped drives works well for RC and other FS add-ons.
  10. Hi Jim,Thanks for the reply. I will drop a note to the email you listed this evening when I get home. Thanks!
  11. Yesterday I was flying from TNCM. The reported temperature was 20 and the reported dew point was 24. After a short while the visibility started going down to zero, and the ground looked a bit strange (like a cloud was trying to be drawn.. it was an off shade of blue).Does ASV handle cases where the dewpoint is reported to be greater than the actual temperature? I should have saved the weather that was in effect if that would help. Thanks!
  12. Hi Jeff,Can you post the flight plan that you used for this flight. Since you were turned in the opposite direction (180 degrees) it sounds like you may have missed a waypoint and RC was turning you back towards it.
  13. I use FSBuild all for all of my flights, and there are no issues between it and RC.I have noticed that the glideslope usually will not become active until around 19 or 20 miles out. So, I do not activate APP mode until I am within this distance.
  14. Hi Peter,I was able to use RC4 along with FS2Crew in the PMDG 737. I am not exactly sure what you mean by the FS2Crew menus... are you referring to the pop-up dialogues? The only problem that I ever saw was that the RC4 display would disappear, but that was easily corrected by selecting the "MultiLine Only" option in advdisp. Once I made sure that option was checked, everyone played well together. Not sure if that helps. Thanks!
  15. Hi Sam,I had a similar error when I installed update 1C. Make sure that you have selected items for the two themes. Once I set those values that error stopped occuring. I just downloaded the 1D update, so I'll see if I have any problems with it.Hope that helps.
  16. Roger,:-hmmm Which add-on are you referring to... to me it sounds like you might be talking about FS2Crew??? If it is, are you trying to use it and RC4?Just trying to get some more info to be able to provide help. Thanks!
  17. Hi Vic,I can confirm that this will work just fine. During testing I had RC4 installed on my FS machine and also on my WideFS machine, and everything worked as expected no matter which machine I was running RC4.
  18. Might as well give it try as well!:-beerchug
  19. Will,Did you or RC pause flight sim? I have had a similar experience on my last two LDS flights... and things started misbehaving immediately after I unpaused FS.I have done two other flights last week without incident... but I did not pause.I will be doing some more troubleshooting to see if pausing FS might be a common denomitator.
  20. Hi JD,I was that troublesome Beta tester. :7 The 256 connection problem happened only one time, but hasn't re-occurred with the new FSUIPC and WideFS builds. That would be my suggestion... get the latest versions of Pete's programs.:-beerchug
  21. Hi Bob,Turn around is usually quite quick. Just a guess, but there might be a delay at present, as some of the RC team members are attending the AVSIM conference.
  22. Hi Greg,I purchased the MD82/83 series when it was first released and had no problems with the process of getting my download information. It is true, however, that they are sometimes slow to respond to posts and emails. When I have sent emails, I think they have all been responded to within two weeks. This would be my only real gripe with Vans, as their MD80 has been the best model that I have found.
  23. Hi Damian,I tried saving the plan from FS2004 and now it loads, but the weather for each leg never gets updated. Also, I seem to now be having another problem which is being discused in the "Radar Not Working" thread.I think I will try and uninstall and re-install tonight or tomorrow morning to see if that clears up any of the oddities that I am seeing.
  24. Hi,I purchased ActiveSky2004 over the weekend and have not been able to load my flight plans into ActiveRadar. When I select the flight plan, the only thing that happens is that I get a message to do an update all in the bottom box. When I click the update all button the message goes away and that is it. I tried to manually enter the flight plan, but it appears that ActiveRadar will only allow me to insert airports (even if a click the VOR selection). I have installed the MR1 update and everything validated during the install, so I assume that the install worked correctly. I am running using WideFS and I generate my flight plans using FSBuild 2.2.I have a few other items that may be behaving strangely on the ActiveWeather side, but I want to do a bit more validating before I post them. Thanks!
  25. Hi,Since V4 is in development, I thought that I would pass this on, as I have encountered it quite often at busy airports. While holding short, an aircraft lands. I am told to taxi into position and hold. There is an aircraft on final a ways out. The aircraft that has landed is tardy getting off the runway... by the time it does, the aircraft on final is under 4 miles out. I do not get cleared for takeoff until the aircraft on final is given a go around. If there are multiple planes on final the wait could be a while until there are no more planes less than 4 miles out. Thanks!
