It shows fs9 is the most used out of the two sims. Someone then states," not all of us have a intel Ti7". The funny thing is, even with a new Ti7 960 overclocked (with all tweaks I found on the net also) to 3.9hz, ssd hard drive and a 2gb 285 gtx My copy Fsx still is a side show (well down in the lower teens as far as fps goes) with descent addon scenery and aircraft.Take a look at say a company like orbx which makes excellent addon scenery. All of their videos use a default aircraft being used . The reason is because there is not way to even use their scenery maxed out at the present time with a addon aircraft. So if you can live with default aircraft fsx is the way to go.I have wasted money on addons for fsx that I can't even use so for that very reason I will not buy any more .

It just sort of disappoints me to read that some great developers will not continue future projects for fs9.My mind boggles :( to think ,when you really look at the facts it is hard to understand, why people would even think that a sim is not worthly, when it is the most widely used sim around. I don't know how many times a day that I visit fs developers web pages or sim product sales sites ,looking for something which is actually unique to purchase for fs9.For example go to FSDT (KDFW fs9 version) web page forum or any great developer forum and you will see pages of peoples antisapation on the release of a product. With a sim like fs9 that runs so wonderfully smooth ,I am so ready to continue to load it up with all kinds of new and unique world class addons as I was when it first was released. To be honest I really can't wait for add new faster hardware to add my system not :( to go to another sim but to run fs9 maxed out in :( 3d with all my addons. With my current system fs9 is alittle slow in 3d mode. If you have never flown fs9 in 3d yet you will not know ,but if you have you know fs9 is so much more then people think. Try 3d on any other sim there is no way you could with good frame rates and high quality addons. Which tells me again fs9 has so much to offer it just blows my mind that some people don't even understand fs9 hasn't even yet seen its best days yet! It doesn't take a rocket scienist to know that fs9 is not :( "dead".Take a look for yourself :( at the avsim file library.Fact, still to this day FS9 has the most uploaded files by people taking out time of their lives to create for this great sim.Fact, still to this day FS9 has the most Downloaded files.Fact, still to this day FS9 is the most focused on in files this month apirl 2010.Fact ,still to this day FS9 is the most focused on this year in the file library and for the last 6 years.I know for a fact fs9 is not dead.Fact ,other microsoft sim versions did die out shortly after the release of newer version ,but clearly that is not the case for FS9.

To be honest CLS's new 767 is one of the best addon aircraft that I own for the larger jet type.It is so smooth in operation as far as the frame rate load department with great sytems ,detailed features,all the eye candy you can pack and wonderful performance. The new 767 is almost like flying a default fs9 aircraft when you compare it to frame the rate drop.Another product I have recently purchased for fs9 that looks great and has great frame rate load is UK2000 SCENERY - MANCHESTER XTREME EGCC which is just wonderful all the way around as for most of his XTREME line of products made by this great developer. Which is a real shame because the fact is most developers are getting better with time and the loss of such talent to a great sim( fs9 ) that can handle these new improvements with great overall performance on top of that will be no longer an option.Everytime I buy a FSX product, I wish it was for fs9 instead . I have nothing against fsx . The fact is it is a hardware pig that can beat down the newest fastest hardware like it was a joke.Most pepole know fs9 can look almost as good as fsx in many ways . I am so glad that the great developer FSDT is still making products for fs9 .As for me, if it is a new and good looking product for fs9 you can count on me to buy a copy.I just feel places like avsim or any other great sim forum is where developers need to learn what the people want before they spend all kinds of work into it. In the long run we all win. :( By the way guys ,who was making that new 328JET for fs9?

I do not understand :( why developers are not for fs9 still, when all you read in the FSX forum is how hard FSX is on a system even with all kinds of tweaks and how even with a Intel Ti7 980 xtreme edition 6 core processor ,that is very over clocked and using the lastest SSD hard drive can only get 22- 30 fps with high quality payware software being used. Well in my case, smoothness or fluidity were lost .In fact with the set up I used ,it did not matter, if you were in 2d or 3d the frame rates dropped off because it took two inputs from video to the monitor just to make a image display correctly.

I am not sure how it does it with other hardware but the iz3d hooked up to both ports on the graphics card. So I had to extend my desktop and use the one monitor as it was really two .As for the edminsional shutter glasses http://www.edimensional.com/product_info.php?products_id=28 maybe a different case because I used those back when I had a pen4 although I sold them to a freind of mine. Maybe someone, with a pair of those glasses can explain the frame rates with that hardware config.

Ok, after install of the new hardware iZ3D H220Z1 Black 22" 5ms Widescreen 3D Gaming LCD Monitor it was time to see what was going to happen.ProsMade fs9 look like a new sim.Gave great deal of depth. Cons 3d is a system hog.Cut frames down more then half. Personally, I have seen fs9 in 3d a couple of years back.Now that I have a powerful system the results should be faster as far as frame rates. I was wondering :( if anyone has tired fs9 in 3d? If so was there a performance :( loss?

Well, I just completed another flight with PFE and all I have to say is Wow :( , the realistic voice sets really make a big difference. I mean it even installs mic sound effects. Also ,durning my flight I was using flight1 ATR which has TACAS onboard ,PFE was alerting me of traffic :( which I did see and was also on my radar in the correct location as described by ATC .When an AI aircraft landed it called clear of the runway and I did see it was true. Although, while holding short for the depart runway,I did notice PFE only clears the AI for take off a couple of seconds after it maybe already rolling for take off. Which is no big deal to me.Another thing I liked was, the fact it did not seem to bug :( me to death on changing freq to center over and over as does default fs9 atc and RC4.This program to me is far more realistic B) then other atc that I have tired. I am not trying to sell copies because I don't even get a profit because its not anything I had to do with ,I just want people to enjoy their sim as much as I do. Yes, it takes some work to get in the air but the payback is by far better then anything else out there that I have tired.That's my honest opinion. B)

For those that have been having problems ,All I can say is make sure you to have the latest update installed http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/pfe_updates/p...ative_installer My update button did not work so I found this link in their forum. I am not sure if you will need other updates installed also maybe some here can explain. As for me I have all voice expansion packs installed.Although, there are many steps to get this program to work ,when you do get it working correctly its well worth all the effort.

Its been 2 :( years ago from purchasing ProFlight Emulator Deluxe . Recently I decided to reinstall ProFlight Emulator Deluxe after all this time. I noticed many updates and improvements have been made since its first release back in 2007.For some time I have been using Radar contact 4. RC4 is a great product :( but it lacks in taxi instructions. ProFlight Emulator Deluxe now, well not sure how long it has been able to do this, can give taxi instructions and even verbally guide you in the correct direction. ProFlight Emulator Deluxe has in my opinion a much more real sound to it compared to RC4. I have just completed one flight with ProFlight Emulator Deluxe and all I can say is if you want to bring life :( to your sim again this did the trick for me.

It would be great :( if someone would make a program like http://www.flightsimtools.com/adconvx/ they have made for FSX that would convert FSX files to be used in fs2004 :( .I am sure it would sell many copies... :(

Yes, it works with both sims...

I found out the hard way :( and bought a ATI dual GPU's. As far as having 2 GPU'S ,that is a no, no :(:( for fs. I can not tell which brand :( is better in the single gpu department, I just can tell you don't buy a card that uses two gpu's.
