I am using xp pro with sp3.

Now that I have a new i7 980x extreme addition and installed fs9. To my surprise fs9 really didn't run much better then when I had my i7 960 .After, doing some tweaks and still not seening a big differance in performance, I started feel like I just wasted a thousand dollars so I read up on gaming systems at toms hardware.I found out that turning off hyper threading increased performance. So I gave it a try .Now I can see my system fly in fs9 like never before. So if you have not tried to turn off hyper threading this may be the trick that will help out you and your fs9 performance.

I can't wait!!! :( FS9 is going to get better again!

I just recieved my new Acer GD235HZbid Black/orange 23.6" 2ms Widescreen 1080p 120Hz 3D-Ready LCD Monitor yesterday. I almost feel like it improved my frame rates. although I haven't compared it to my old 60 hz lcd yet. 30 fps looking at default scenery in fsx with no panel in view .I know a default set up sim is not what I want to view.

Yea :( I just bought every airport that I didn't have already. What a deal :( Now I have every airport they sell for fs9 !

I have made a little slide show on how I set up my weather. In my honest opinion it makes for realistic weather at all levels of flight.

Carenado can count on me to buy a fs9 version :(

I know there is a way because when fs9 first came out people wanted them smaller. Now that systems run fs9 more smoothly trees are not that big on dropping frames. To decrease there size I know you can reduce the texture size but when using the max size of 1024x1024 for the texture ,which is the max size for fs9.It will not respond to bigger texture flie unless you go into the fs9 config file.Although I don't think that will work.I will do some research.

I am wanting to increase the size of trees in fs9 does anybody know if this is possible?

I can run FSX somewhat ok,not as flulid as fs9 by no means. Also, just like Ed stated ,which I also agree with FSX looks cartoony. You can Fly in Fly tampa TNCM in both versions and to me the fs9 version looks better.I pefer fs9 peroid. Like you I thought the very same thing "the pmdg J41".The Pmdg J41 is just beautiful ,but it is one tuff puppy on a system . I flew it in KJFK by FSDT and it was a slide show in the low single digits. You can fly it in default sim areas with upper teens and maybe if you have a beast Ti7 680 6 core in some addon on areas with good results. So could I add payware scenery objects anywhere I would like? Ez scenery was limited.

INSTANT SCENERY or EZ scenery? :( What is the main differance between the two? I have ez scenery already. Can instant scenery use all objects in scenery flies? I know ez scenery, it was limited to a certain area.

Seems smooth in the PMDG J4100 in default scenery but how about in that aircraft with some payware airport like KJFK by FSDT(they have a free demo)? With so many addons being produced it would be nice to know, if you or anybody could really use them together.

That seems sort of strange, there are people with this months lastest n greatest hardware having problems with fsx . What is your secret ?

Well, I downloaded the demo of Active camera. The ground roll shaking action and track IR didn't work out that great because it seemed like TrackIR was trying to counter act the action by resetting its position.Maybe someone else here has had better luck with the two products :( .

The real reason :( I have a desktop is to run my sim.I will buy every new fs9 addon as long as it is top notch like fly tampa ! Support the companies that really make fs9 as real as it gets!Thanks fly tampa :( for your FS9 support!

I use Track IR :( although, I am loooking for a camera effect that gives the illusion that the aircraft is shaking :( while rolling on the ground in VC mode. Can walk and follow or Active camera give me this effect?I know :( Ariane Design 737 can do this without any programs.
