  1. Hi Graeme!ACARS is not currently functional in the PMDG 737. The pages are present in the FMC though, and aparently events show up somewhere in the acars pages, but I haven't looked for these yet. PMDG have informed us that they will have a big announcement in relation to ACARS in the near future. ;)Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 3. On the Route first page, push 'Del' and then push the L1 line select to delete the departure airport. This then clears everything ready for re-setup.Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 4. Thanks guys,However I don't have the full FSUIPC (I know, I am not helping Pete Dowson). If I am understanding this correctly, the standby battery is being used or running down because FS still uses it even when the engine gens or APU are in use.Would it be possible that someone with the knowledge / is in the know could create a document outlining the overhead battery test display 'thingie' and what voltages etc are normal for certain situations? I am constantly striving to get more realistic, and that along with manual air conditioning is what I miss out now.By the way, could anyone also email me or post their load configuration for the 800. I don't know how much I can load where and what is normal, so currently it is just default.Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 5. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/73758.jpg;) STILL Air temp & fuel temp is 0Details :) U gotta love em, even if they are useless. As a further note, please add your ideas or just post an 'i concur' message or something here so the PMDG developers at least get to see it (that is if you think any of it IS useful).Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 6. Hi!When I had come back from a flight from Canberra YSCB to Sydney YSSY after several hours of the plane sitting at the gate with the APU going (oops!), I finally encountered the dredded radio panel problem! :(:( As a result, I postponed my flight, and collected as much data as possible for you.First things first, let's just say that the problem didn't exist until after final of my previous flight, because I switched NAV 1 over to the ILS freq when just turning. The plane was left at the gate under APU power for many (4?) hours and FS was left in the background whilst I looked at various avsim forums, chores etc. When I came back, I set up the MCP and turned Squawkbox and ActiveSky2004 back on, and when it came to tune the Radios, I noticed the problem - NAV and COM panels ONLY not working (ADF, transponder etc are fine). Hearing something about lighting on these forums, I tested the outside lighting, and the Landing lights, RWY turnoff lights and taxi lights all were not functioning. Another point was that this was at night.PANEL SHOThttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/73751.jpgOVERHEAD SHOThttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/73753.jpgRADIO PANELhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/73754.jpgI toggled the battery switch in the hope that that might solve the problem, to no avail. When I came across the Pneumatics panel, there was NO DUCT PRESSURE, and switching the bleed and pack switches didn't make any warnings / ramair inlet lights come on. The recirculation fans were working (audible). I restarted the APU, which made this panel come back alive. The EGT became lower than before I think. You see for yourself ;)As you can see in these shots, the Fuel Temperature reads 0 as does the cabin temperature.OTHER SHOTS:FMC SHOThttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/73755.jpgWas any of this useful?? :D Well, I tried. Let me know if you want me to try again. Maybe I'll start and finish a short flight, and monitoring it until it does occur - something tells me if it occurs on one, it occurs on all after a long flight / time being loaded. I encourage a PMDG member strongly to fly, then if it hasn't occured by then to let it sit there as I did :).NOTE: MY NEXT REPLY WILL CONTAIN A SCREENIE FROM WHEN I TURNED THE APU ON AND OFF, FOLLOWED BY WHEN THE ENGINES WERE ON. PROBABLY NOT THAT USEFUL :D ARRGH CAN ONLY FIT 1 MORE!Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 7. Hi All!Is there a way you can disable manual braking disabling autobrakes? This is because I have the CH Rudder pedals, and the moment I use them, the toe brakes are also touched slightly (no, I can't be any more careful to avoid them, it always happens when you touch the rudder pedals to some extemt) and it disengages the autobrakes, which doesn't make for a very realistic / fancy landing roll. :)Thanks for your time as always ;)Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. Hi!From my experience...USE THE FS2004 INTERNAL SETTINGThis works on VATSIM (used it many a time and I see traffic), IVAO (heard from another post), FS2004 normal games. You DON'T need AIBridge. I couldn't see traffic at all with the FSUIPC option either. Switch to the FS2004 Internal setting and give it a go.Alternatively, this may not be your problem ;)Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 10. Hilarious!'I don't remember hitting an iceberg' and 'Leo???' are the bits which make it funny :DIn amongst all the other posts, this makes a nice change. Not good if we all start doing this though. 11. Now that I think about it, I haven't heard them either. A bug?

Hmmm. v strange.'I extended the gear, but that didn't do anything..' Do you mean that the gear didn't go, or that it didn't solve the problem? Are you saying that with nothing providing power, your screens were still functional?? :| DodgyEDIT: Might be worthwile note post addon stuff you're using and further circumstance details.V new to me! Sorry about the uselessness of this, but it might keep it on the front page ;)Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 13. Just a quick something to add: Prior to the 800/900 upgrade they started in cutoff. Would it still be a MSFS thing after I say that?Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 14. @JohnVery convienient :) Hope to get them soon :)Is the Co-Route is just the 2 ICAO codes put together? What payloads do you have set up for your 800 mixed?@MarkYou seem to know your stuff Mark ;) Just play nice though :D@anyoneTo state again v simply, the braking doesn't appear to be adequate, even on a default empty plane.Don't forget about the other questions too :)Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 15. Don't forget to let us know what you found ;) I didn't know brakes should disable autobrakes. hmmm. v interesting in the braking department.Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 16. Hi Again :DDo you think it could be that I haven't set up my loads since ugrading? It's empty. What settings do you have for 800 Mixed? Why do you recommend FSBUILD & Activesky? (Not in a asking why you wrote that but asking what you think makes them good) Does Activesky work properly with the PMDG 737 now? I thought a while ago there were a few probs, or was that another weather product?Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 17. It is bigger isn't it ;)I however have been on one of these beauties into Canberra (YSCB) and know that they used Autobrakes 2. When I use this in the Sim, it doesn't allow me to exit on the same taxiway, although I [try to] come in fairly slowly. Arrghh it may be me but I want to let you know what I think might be a bit 'off'. ;)In regards to the last question, I mean that using the fuel planning tables included in the manuals, I run out of fuel, and have to compensate by pretending I will fly further than I really will. :DThanks for your very fast reply John!Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 18. Hi All!After around 10 flights in my new favourite model 737 (the 800 :)) I have a few questions...When landing, it now takes much longer to slow down with autobrakes, speed brakes and thrust reversers. Before, I just landed and it slowed down, but now I have to use manual braking at the same time as the autobrakes are engaged to achieve the same result. Is this normal, because without this manual braking it won't stop like the real deal at for eg. YSCB.Next, once I am on the ground and taxiing, the FMC seems to think that I am going to do the trip I have just finished all over again, and complains about insufficient fuel for the trip (note I have plenty of fuel, just not enough for an entire flight) and unable to maintain cruise altitude. Is there a convienient button to wipe a trip from the FMC to begin afresh for a new flight? Why does the ILS Glideslope and Localiser diamond and track on the PFD flash occasionally during the approach? Is this something to do with your Radio Altitude? When starting the engines, the manual says to flip the fuel cutoff switches when N2 reaches 25%. The N2 slows down almost to a dead halt at 20 however, and then repeats the startup sound unnaturally if you don't flick the switches up then. There was a post on this prior to all the upgrade posts in the forums. Is this right / will this be patched? Finally, prior to the 800/900 upgrade, I used the fuel planning table or the 3rd Party 737NG Fuel Planner by Ross Carlton to load fuel into the aircraft. If I used the correct data, the FMC always told me that there wouldn't be enough fuel, and I ran out of fuel on the trip. I eventually just used the FMC's expectations as a reference as to how much fuel to board or added 300NM to the actual distance, using trial and error with loadings (remembering that the first 1000lb go in the centre ;)). Is this fixed / am I doing something wrong (all data was right though)? Thanks a lot in advance! I hope you followed me through all that :)Geoffrey BaleanCanberra, AU (YSCB)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesturday. 19. Hehe looks like people are already starting to have fun! You wouldn't believe it, but the ADSL net went down a few hours ago, so I couldn't be the first to get it! NOOOOOOO!!! Have to be the first for the 74 now :D:DThis is a historic occasion!Geoffrey Balean (YSCB)
  20. That's a point! NZ here we come!Geoffrey Balean (YSCB)
  21. That would be good. The only interesting flights I've done come from the CP Round Robins ;) Otherwise, I just fly domestic routes in Australia, where the default scenery is really boring, and there are hardly any addons for scenery. Next flight will be YBBN - YBHM if you're interested :)Geoffrey Balean (YSCB)
  22. Hehe checking if you have a market to release it now? :DGeoffrey Balean (YSCB)
  23. Nice shots, and repaints Pete! Ohhh excitement! Geoffrey Balean (YSCB):-jumpy
  24. The atmosphere certainly suggests it! Me first, me first!!!! :) Please don't keep us up late at night though :D Release it during the Australian evening lol (selfish me :))So excited! Made 3 posts in the last 10 minutes :)Geoffrey Balean (YSCB)
  25. How soon will it be until that one gets updated? ;) :DThere is an unusual amount of seemingly meaningless chatter about on this forum at the moment. Should I take it as a sign that it will be coming out very soon and I should spend every waking second on the forum? I was just about to fly online :)Fred said that it would have been out last weekend if you beta testers didn't pick something up in the product :) V close then :-jumpyGeoffrey Balean (YSCB)
