Greetings again,I'll give it a go, but I have tried all combinations of starting SBRelay, the other programs I mix and match without much thought. Oh I didn't even mention anything like that! Good point Paul - always wanted a proper pushback thing (including tug) and a ground controller (with voices from other countries besides US - go JT :)). Where has the aircraft previously come from and what has it done? Is it a point after a go around?If I understand you correctly this type of approach is used when no other approach is available and the weather is bad (surely another approach would be more accurate). Is it meant to fairly precicely line you up with the runway, or just get you near to it? Hi All,As you may know (question coming), I traverse this forum fairly often and consider it a sort of virtual home, which is why I post this question here as opposed to anywhere else - this forum also has a lot of knowledgeable people in it also.Here goes (please advise if really in unsuitable spot):Does anyone experience problems with SquawkBox and it failing very often?When I get ready to fly online I get everything set up, start FS and load the PMDG 737, then start SBHost. When it comes to starting SquawkBox however, it starts and you enter your name and enter the IP for your computer and select SBRelay session. However when you click join, it seems that the first time you turn the computer on on the day (it sounds crazy, it is crazy) it comes up with an error box error such and such, and hangs SBHost and FS as well. The only way to get it to go is to restart and try again, when it usually works. This drives me crazy as it takes an hour to get everything set up to realworld precision, and I'm only complaining about it now because someone else I know in my VA is experiencing the same problems.If anyone can help me solve this problem, I will be eternally greatful! At first I thought it was something to do with starting other programs like FSBuild, Activesky and ServInfo first, but even without them it fails. If anyone also wants a checklist that is commonly printed on the yoke (off airliners.net picture) which is the right size to place on the top of your CH yoke, email me at gbalean@emailme.com.au. It's not much, but is a good quick reference, and in the r/w has a sliding bead thing which you can move to quickly indicate where you are up to. Greetings fellow Earthlings,I like the sound of a 777 or 757, and am currently one of those Boeing freaks. However, this is probably because I have only once ever flown on an Airbus. I'd like to fly a flight sim 'bus, and the iFDG model is nice, but it is the panel we are after, right? After the 737 (my only purchase for FS bar the C152), I simply refuse to buy anything less than PMDG quality, so all those.. dare I say 'half-baked' panels out there simply won't do. I am very curious to know how all the systems work on a Scarebus (but don't want anybody elses panels, even the other payware ones out there at the mo) so I would really like PMDG to try one at some stage (selected those words because I don't want to upset you all by saying 'First'). Like the sound of 'fly-by-wire' too - although I laughed at an article on the aniversary of the 'Gimli glider' (deadstick 767, ran out of fuel and all instruments consequently out, sideslipped it like Cessna to descend more) when the pilot stated that 'If it was an Airbus, we couldn't have made it' :7:D - I like my smilies. Hi Guys! (Really cracking down on those non signing people :()I always get DISCO's, not because it is bad, but because I put the route in such as DCT CB CULIN V137 SY DCT, which loads as normal. However when you select a SID or STAR the FMC will put it at the very start or end of the route ie. With the route above, it would have the SID entered, and have the next waypoint after that all the way back at CB VOR. Between the SID and your Route it will consequently put a DISCO - note that if doing the SID then returning to CB IS desired, you can just push delete, the push the DISCO line. What you do if it isn't desired (realworld pilots check for DISCO's also) is line select the next desired waypoint after the SID, then enter it on the DISCO line - Hey Presto, Problem Solved ;)I consequently believe that you have a FSNavigator flightplan from departure to arrival, and you then select the SID/STAR. Never heard of anywhere where you can obtain in metric, however I think that would be good. Try using google to convert in the meantime (i know it's tedious). Say eg. Recall is simply when you push the display where all the warnings come up, just left of the EFIS panel. Do you use activesky? If so, it might be worthwile getting the latest Maintenance Releas (release 2) which was released on the 26/5 I think. Go to their AVSIM forum to find out more info. I don't think I've stated my opinion before either, so I shall also state here that I think the IRS would be good to have in the 737 to make it a complete product, but many of us are realism fanatics. Yes, I am eagerly awaiting the 74, but the IRS would really make the 737NG a truely complete product.
