I would suggest from a performance point of view of putting the o/s and fsx on the same ssd. If you must put the o/s on the hdd then migrate your pagefile to the ssd.

Baring in mind Flight is based on a legacy engine - FSX ?- then your comments would seem to ring true. Anyway, as somebodyelse said, "lets give it a chance" after all, the first bits free.

I think if microsoft were a bit more clear in their product release info, apparent frustration wouldn't be so evident.For example they talk about a product based on a "legacy engine" is that FSX? We have no idea of timescalefor purchaseable addons, so people that like to fly their favourite plane in a prefered geographical area have somewaiting to do. The notion that microsoft wants to appeal to a broader market while satisfying it's current simmercustomer base seems to be contradicted by the apparent lack of support for squawkbox and existing 3rd party sceneriesfor example.I don't want to be negative, the "flight" situation may look very different in 12 months time or when it's releasedbut the lack of clarity by microsoft hasn't helped.

One of my pet hates in fs9 was being able to see the airport through an overcast layer after you climb through it.In the xp10 demo after creating a solid overcast in cumulus clouds (tried stratus too ) i was annoyed to be able to see the airport lights looking back after I climbed through the layer. Is this an xp demo limitation,a result of the missing "cloud opacity adjuster switch" that was in the first release or something I'm doing wrong?.Many thanks Nigel

Hi pat,Have you tried deleting your video drivers using "driver cleaner"?, I thinkit does a better job than doing it yourself and removes previous driver remnentsthat can cause conflicts.Nige

Try running a ram clearing utility like maxmem before you start fs9,this can help sometimes.
