  1. Hi Does any one else get a problem when calling for Flaps up on dep and nothing happens ? i use the UK sound set and did not use VNAV or LNAV as it was a vectored departure / heading after dep clearance ... when making an app for a low approach and go around it works fine .... i have to click on the up arrow to get it to show flaps up then try again.Thanks Rich
  2. Hi Just done my first flight well flights .. using version 1.6 ... The touch and goes work great now as i did a few at Gatwick before setting off for Heathrow then back to Gatwick . regarding Alpaslans problem it all went fine with me when i did a full cold and dark start then a 2nd leg back to Gatwick .. Hi Just installed the standard FSX version on my Lap top (will upgrade later) .. when i loaded up the Cessna i noticed that the default view was down like looking at the runway .. on FS9 there is a key combo to change this view up or down , i gave this a go with FSX but it did not change .. i opened up the keys and noticed that the key combo looked the same but its just not working .. i run FSX in Windowed mode if that helps. Hi Just a quick question .. been a long long time since i used the voice editions .. been flying the IFLY button version most of the time now , but i want to get back into the voice side of things .. i have the voice editions for the PMDG and Wilco 737s , but some how its the voice settings i need help with , (had it all set before .. dont know how its changed but had to reinstall the MS voice software).. i have windows XP 32 bit and under the control panel / speech / there is Microsoft English Recognizer 5.1 and SAPI .. which one do i use again please ? im guessing its the Microsoft one .   5. auto pilot problem also fixed .... was another font problem , just copied the font folder from my XP FS2004 folder into the Windows 7 FS9 font fonder and now all up and running again . Rich

Hi The FO is not calling minimums on the 2nd approach after a go around , i thought maybe i was doing some thing wrong so last night i was controlling Gatwick director on Vatsim .. i asked a mate of mine who also has FS2CREW to check it out .. his first approach went fine on the next one no FO minimum call, is there some thing we are forgetting to do so it resets ? or is it a bug? I fixed the font issue by copying and emailing the fonts to my self from my WINXP pc ..but i still have a problem with the auto pilot display .. its not showing the fully heading or full altitude ..eg heading 343 is just 34 and the altitude is showing 1000 instead of 10000 on my W7 pc with an ATI card .   8. I did not see this post sorry .. i have the same thing with W7 64bit and FS9 .. i dont have the fonts in the FS font fonder so thats why .. i submited a ticket ref the problem , its strainge how we are all getting this problem now . Rich
  9. Hi I have a problem with the MD11 .. some of the fonts on the gauges are not displaying correctly .. any ideas how to fix this please ?.. i have Windows 7 64 bit and FS2004. Thanks Rich
  10. Hi just a heads up ... im on my 5th Low Approach and go Around at Gatwick,.. i have inputed just the weights in the FMC (so i get the V speeds) with out any DEP or ARR airport , you may have to manually select GA engine mode . Richard Keen

Hi Hmm interesting .. i was doing a flight from Gatwick to Gatwick last night and got another CTD on the 3rd low app and GA so you could be onto something.... i was wondering if just programming the FMC with weights and not putting in a route would help ,i will give it a go later ..its good to hear im not the only one . Iknow its an old add one but its still very popular so wondered if PMDG could look into it if they found the time ? Thanks all Richard Keen

HiOk cool thanks i have a key set for TCAS for the BBJ now so i just use that when i line up.. i can not reproduce the other problem i had , the only thing i can think of is pilot error on my part in that i may not have put flaps 1 in the FMC for departure.. i know i put it in the brief , today i flew the BBJ that i had problems with and that went fine too .Rich
  15. Hi Bryan Just flew the BBJ3 .. no problems this time (TCAS still not set thou).. did a flap 1 take off fine , .. i was in the standard BBJ when i had the problem , i will double check it tomorrow and report back . Rich
  16. Hi Tried the normal NGs and its working fine so sounds like a problem with the BBJs... also on take off with the BBJ flap 5 is visible in the right hand window (had to scroll to flap 1 or up) were as on a normal NG it was fine. Rich
  17. Hi I selected a Flap 1 departure in the BBJ2 .. but after engine start i call ""set take off flap"" and the FO says Flap 5 were it should be Flap 1 . Thanks Rich
  18. Confirmed .. just flew the same A/C James did and the BBJ FO did not turn on the TX .. or is it a BBJ procedure ? ie the pilot does it ? Thanks Rich

  22. Hi Galland For now Just do what Bryan said above , scroll to the next part so you miss out flaps 1,5 etc . Rich
  23. Best way is not to touch it ;) .. i just make sure i have missed Approach displaying again in the right hand window (need to scroll to get it back)just in case i have to do a late GA so that would be the only button i need to press .. Rich
  24. +1 fantastic .. saying that all your products are ,.. i also agree with the Real World pilot in that would love to be able to do circuits (think i asked that already ;) ) Rich
  25. Hi just did a few go arounds using the US voices .. i called flaps 5 and flaps 1 but he never retracted them .. .. it was just a quick flight to test some thing else out so the FMC wasnt fully set up but just the weights inputed and started up engines running so maybe this was why . Rich
