  1. Hi Bert, Would you mind sending me the Hawker and Phenom 750 mods? Thanks, Mark
  2. Jacoba, I don't think it's getting too ridiculous. The Garmin 400 (the real one) is much more capable and has more features than the FSX version. THIS is what the people are complaining about. If Carenado is going to spend all this time making the C90 a realistic aircraft then the avionics better be that way too. If the GNS 400 is just a repackaged unrealistic FSX version (which I'm assuming from everyone's complaints) then why not throw in a more capable and realistic piece of avionics that is the RXP 430. I'm sure there is a way to blank out the comm's part to make it more like the GNS400; and even if there isn't, pull one of the Collins com and nav modules. Aircraft that are built in the 1960's have new panels and avionics in them, why not do the same with the C90 to keep up with the times. No one is asking for an FMS and glass panel and a HUD, like you suggest. Just a GPS unit that you can enter in waypoints without having to set a flightplan from the FSX menu. THAT is not realistic. And I do fly in real life, and I truly enjoy using a Garmin 430 or 530 better than using VOR's to triangulate my position. It just works better at situation awareness and accurate navigation. I guess what you're saying is that you'd rather fly an NDB approach at night, down to minimums, rather than do an RNAV approach in the same conditions? Come on, give me a break. I admit that all real world pilots need to be proficient in all the current forms of navigation, but to say that pilots enjoy the way it was done is ridiculous for the reasons I states above. If you just fly VFR, yes, GPS is a luxury you don't need. But the C90 wasn't designed with just VFR in mind. Us real world pilots love flying and love technology that makes it safer and easier to enjoy what we do. GPS does that reliably, and when it's screwy, we use VOR's and ADF and dead reckoning as backup. So, Carenado should have put the RXP 430 in there because it would be as unrealistic as putting the current FSX G400 in there.
  3. I had a feeling that would be the answer. How does the "Cold and Dark" option work? Maybe I can trouble shoot it.
  4. Ron -I just bought the Duke today, installed it and clicked the Cold & Dark option, saved it. However in FSX the engines are still running. What specifics do you need in-order to trouble shoot this?
  5. I thought I remembered my password, but apparently I didn't. I was relying on the password saver in my browser and the PSS website/my account for that. Is there anyway to have that info pulled from the PSS server, like I give my email address and they email my password to me?Mark
  6. >Although PSS are shut down, their servers are still on line. >If you have your original purchase data {e-mail address and>password} you can re-download so no need to re-purchase.>>Any problems, post back - the installers are available if you>have lost yours.>>John R>>PS Please sign your name - nice to know who we are talking>to.>>How do I access the server to re-download my 777 and 757 files?Mark
  7. A couple of things. First its your 'opinion', not fact. Second PSS animation on the 757 is not cartoonish, perhaps you have an example of the cartoonishness if that is a word. 3rd, PSS will be passed up by a reputable Sim maker designing a new 757. So far they're 767 hasn't been called cartoonish. I do totally agree though that the E-Jet series brings something new to the table. >The only thing I can't get my head around is why people are>wasting time here, trying to install PSS products. Everything>released since Airbus Pro (A319/20) has been tired looking,>FS2002-like in appearance and with a distinct laziness in>efforts to raise quality; things like airbus and boeing models>having the same sounds, etc, etc.>>Have you not seen some of the fantastic releases out there ? >Go and buy E-Jets PIC, if you want an amazing new airliner>that pushes the boundaries of FS2004. Even better buy some>nice GA aircraft from RealAir or Digital Aviation or>Eaglesoft, they are all of a quality level that leaves PSS's>cartoon efforts for dead.>>I purchased 2 or 3 of PSS's later products (I never learn) and>was just pleased to get them deleted from my hard drive to get>the space back. >>The old PSS fan-boys won't like it (and will delete this post)>but it's fact.>>.
  8. I've also not received a reply from PMDG. Email address is: mpneill(at)cox.net It was regarding replacement of aircraft files. Thanks,Mark
  9. I've read over the forum, however I suppose someone might have known a way to get in touch, like one of the developers or something. I do appreciate the comments though.
  10. What about Graham?>Unfortunately, there is no one...>>DJ
  11. Is there anyone that I can contact in regards to obtaining my previous purchases?Mark
