You know what I find odd? The attack seemed to start the very moment the release announcement was made, I mean literally within a minute or two. That tells me it was a very deliberate effort that was set up beforehand and just waiting to be launched on a moment's notice. Corporate sabotage, anyone? I think it's time to put your competitors under some serious cyber-crime scrutiny :D No doubt you lost some sales and business opportunity. Hope any investigation you pursue is fruitful, and the findings are actionable.

Yes, you are being unreasonable. They're doing the best they can. All of us were sitting here for days on the edge of our seats, just like you. What happened was completely outside of PMDG's control, and they're still busting their butts trying to make everything right, so please give it a rest and wait your turn.

Quit crying about it, you're one of many people who was impacted by this attack. You just had 2 PMDG employees taking the time after a no-doubt insanely crazy evening offering their apologies to you personally, and assuring you that they will get to you as soon as they possibly can. What more do you want?

Guys, look at all the constant nonsense the Avsim moderators have been dealing with here for the last 24 hours. Personally, I'd be brandishing the ban-hammer for some of the shenanigans going on here lol. It's the users who, right now, are making this a rather tense place. Not the moderators.

I don't think the monitors collectively owned by all the members of the flightsim community account for much of the United States' energy consumption. Just a hunch I have.

Nothing wrong with that. Getting Triplehead and FSX to play nice together on 3 monitors was a hassle. As you can see from my picture, I'm now in the process of making my life even more difficult with a 4th and not long afterward, 5th display. Baby steps.

50,000 copies in the first 24 hours? I'm sure over the lifetime of the product it will have incredible sales, but I don't think there are 50,000 people chomping at the bit to pay $80 for a single addon aircraft for flightsim who will pull the trigger right at launch. I think the number of people who have "Liked" the PMDG Facebook page is probably a good indicator. I'd multiply that by 2 to account for people who don't use FB, and start there. Therefore I'll say for the very first day, 5,000 to maybe 15,000. Of course I hope it's more!

I think this could be a hot seller. I put my vote in for 25, worldwide!

I don't think they'll exactly stroll into the office and the first thing they'll do is hit a "release" button.

I've never seen a bunch of grown (and presumably professional) men in such hysterics over a virtual airplane. By PMDG's clock, they still have 15 hours left before August the 4th is officially over. Let's grow up a little and let them work. I'm sure they're just as anxious to get the NGX out the door and get us immature fools off their backs as we are to get it into our grubby little hands.

Don't worry - most of us are aviation enthusiasts, if not pilots. The crazy part is implied from the start.

I think the pricing structure they posted last week was a bit off!

I'm simply not going to expect it today. That way, I won't be disappointed if it comes out tomorrow or even Friday. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than spending the day refreshing my browser and ending up disappointed.
