  1. Woohoo, finally I can purchase add-ons from MSFS Market Place again. DannyL & Fielder cracked it for me. 1. Do not start MSFS with admin rights. (Shortcut defaults to Off anyway). 2. Turn on UAC and reboot. 1. Click Start and open Control Panel. 2. Select System and Security. 3. Under Security and Maintenance, select Change User Account Control settings. 4. Move the slider up (I took it to the top). 5. Select OK to save the changes. 6. Select Yes when prompted to confirm the changes.
  2. www.nzscenery.co.nz is giving a 404 error. Is there an alternative download link for NZScenery Autogen Project - New Version 3.0? Gary
  3. Make sure fsx.cfg [PANELS] QUICKTIPS=1 not 0
  4. This topic is coming up two years old and it looks like interested partays have abondoned ship and the links no longer work. Where did ya awl go... over? Please advise if this bit of kit bit the dust or is it still under development? Gary
  5. Hi Howard,Saving changes is not enabled in the demo version of FSPanelStudio.I can't // Cessna_182.RMP because I can't find it, that's what the problem is. Just like you said at the beginning, "I must be going crazy or more senile than I thought, because I can't find those FS98 gauges listed in the C123's panel.cfg!"Gary
  6. Carabou, did you ever resolve this issue? I'm getting the same report pop up for the file Cessna_182.RMP. A search of the panel.cfg reveals no such gauge.I'd download the FSPanelStudio demo, but you can't save the panel file even if the missing Cessna_182.RMP was found. Spelling is suspicious, like it should be Cessna_182.RPM.Gary
  7. I’m also trying to add an anti-skid gauge to my aircraft so the wheels don’t visually appear to lock up every time I put the brakes on in FSX. I’ve have the following XML code by Bernt Stolle for the gauge, but I wish to know where or how to add it to the aircraft? Is the following placed in a separate .xml file and if so, where is the file placed and how is it automatically triggered when the aircraft is loaded?<Gauge Name="AntiSkid" Version="1.0"><!-- Turn on Anti-skid --><Element> <Select> <Value> (L:AntiSkidInit, bool) 1 != if{ (A:ANTISKID BRAKES ACTIVE,bool) 1 != if{ 0 (>K:ANTISKID_BRAKES_TOGGLE) } 1 (>L:AntiSkidInit, bool) } </Value> </Select> </Element></Gauge>Gary
  8. I've purchased many of Carenado's aircraft and I don't like to hear that one of my favourite aircraft producers is upsetting its customers. I hope that they read this forum topic and realise that they are.It seem so easy to prevent such aggrevation:Step 1. Vendor releases the product directly to the public and/or distributes it through 3rd parties.Step 2. Vendor produces updates, advises all purchasers and distributors that the update is available on the vendor's website. On their website I see updates for Carenado aircraft at:http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php?accion=updateLooking at the file names I see they are patches, service packs and blank textures which do not need log ins to access. If the update includes the whole aircraft then logging into the site from which it was purchased is required as proof of purchase. If the update is a patch and does not include the whole aircraft then there is no need to log in, anyone who has purchased the aircraft from any source should be able to update their aircraft without logging in. In either cases the vendor has an obligation to advise customers that an update is available, after all, a lot of folk are involved in producing updates and they are produced for the customers and it is nice to know that the company is keeping in touch with its supporters.Well that's how I would resolve this issue if I was running the sales dept. in order to retain good will and past customers.BTW, I've just logged in to my Carenado acct and found updates to my three most favourite aircraft; besides the C337 mentioned above, there are updates for the CU206G and C208B and the CU206 update was released Sep 2008. Judging by the file names these updates do include the whole aircraft and therefore require one to log in. Oh well, if nothing comes of this discussion, at least I have three updates that I previously knew nothing of so it's a happy ending for me regardless.GD
  9. So how are you progressing with this project one year on Jeremy?Gary
  10. Seems to happen around 9am NZ time. Maybe the server is down for maintenance for a short time. Anyway it's working fine now. Gary
  11. Don't know if this is related, but I couldn't open any links from AVSIM Online News Wednesay's Traffic On The Glide Slope and same thing today. I just get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" for every link. Gary
