  1. Hi. Just landed at UK2000 EGLL, great airport scenery. When I zoom in on Little Nav Map, I notice several of the parking bays were missing. For example, on Pier 6 at T3 Bays 307 and 305, 2 of the 4, A380 bays. Not a big problem, I just wondered how LNM worked out the parking bays and taxiways? Was it a scenery limitation? That said, I see some AI parked in bays 305 and 307, but not on LNM. Sort of looks like the terminals are too small for the number of bays required! Geoff
  2. Agree. Jean-Luc is a pleasure to deal with. If there is any issue with the Reality GTN, he is right onto it with solutions.
  3. When I re-downloaded yesterday from a third party vendor, it was still v3...so, I guess in a few weeks or so, the third party vendors will have uploaded v4
  4. Hi Thomas, Agree. I had the same thought. I suppose a lot depends on what changes have been made to the Learjet in v4 and how they impact on Bjoern's version 3 mods. If big issues, simply remove the v3 mods or as you say, keep the mods and v3.
  5. I have the FSX MD11 still working great, but this Aerosoft-published DVD version where I do not need the PMDG activation. For some reason, PMDG seem to be hoping their FSX MD11 disappears.
  6. Hi Jean-Luc. I was just curious. As predominantly I am a heavy metal guy, the GTN750 will do just fine. I am more than happy with the GTN750...still on a learning curve but getting better every trip. I find it interesting how the GTN approaches are placed after the arrival airport in the flight plan. For many years, I am a heavy metal user, used to a FMC, and the approach waypoints etc before the landing airport on the FMS flight plan. I also need to get better at the 'load' and 'load and activate' approach points....Practise Practise.....
  7. Hi @Jean-Luc. What about when people already have the XP GTN750 'and' purchased the GTN750 during the recent sale....and now may want to purchase the GTN650 in a totally separate transaction. What price prevails here?
  8. Thanks Russell, I will check out the latest version. As you say, if the panel save state mod is working well, that is great. As some of the addon aircraft situations do not save too well. I have no problems with PMDG, FSL, Aerosoft airbus series and Majestic...they are bullet proof. Some of my others are one flight only, which is annoying for long haul aircraft. Though that said, other users have no issues with the same aircraft...so some thing about my machine setup!
  9. I have just installed the GTN750 into the Learjet, and noticed all the mods by Bjoern...Do these have to be installed one by one as you come across them, or are some updates on earlier versions. Is there a cumulative mod version? And the point you raise about P3Dv4 means a few further mods as you provided above are required? I recall seeing some where a 'darker' version of the VC textures in the Learjet? were these the textures in the front of this topic?
  10. I wondered about the comment: ..."Removed the GPWS flap override as this was not simulated. This will increase FPS. Removed the ELT (Electronic Locator Transponder). This will increase FPS..." Are these removals going to increase FPS? or is the removal going to reduce the present FPS? I am a little confused..
  11. Thanks Jean-Luc. Ummm, now there was some 'trick' to get the options up again.....Will check the manual tomorrow... OK worked it out.....Ummm, on this startup of the Lear35A, it no longer cycles the NAV1/2 ?? Anyway Jean-Luc, if and when it does it again, I will have a head statrt looking for the issue....
  12. Now I have the PC12 under some control with the GTN750, I am now trying out the GTN750 with the FSW Learjet35A. The first thing I notice is the NAV2 switch is constantly cycling on/off. When I use the standard non GTN version, I do not have this Nav2 cycling event. What is causing this? Now in flight on ILS approach and I see both NAV 1 stuttering and 2 switches cycling?
  13. I notice on all my flights the A/P TRIM warning message is always displayed? What causes this message? I am in autopilot flight with Yaw Damper set. I notice on the yoke the trim is indicating 10%
  14. Thanks Jean-luc...I wondered how to let the guys know without creating a reply each. I will know in the future.😊
  15. @Bert Pieke Hi, Agree, I need to use the GTN750 on different approaches and learn its various ways. It was unfair of me expecting it to take on EGLC, especially with my limited GTN750 knowledge, coupled with its undoubted abilities. @DavidP Correct, While some aircraft do have the mods for steep approaches( eg A318 for BA KJFK-EGLC) the actual approach and ILS at EGLC is initially autopilot, but soon taken over by the captain in the corporate world. The CS100, E170, E190 along with some DH4 seem the main users. @Scorp no thoughts at all about modifying the GTN performance for one or two airports. @somiller Other than the corporates, a fair percentage of users are the biz jets guys, I guess with the appropriate, "ONLY FOR ACFT CERTIFIED TO CARRY OUT APPROACHES AT 5.5 DEG." Maybe most if not all Biz Jets use "better" avionics than the GTN750??.
  16. Hi guys, thanks for the replies. This is my first flight with the GTN 750 and using light metal like the Carenado P3Dv4 PC12. My usual choice for the last several years has been the PMDG 737/777, or FSL A320 with the lightest being the Majestic Q400. With the FMC style aircraft, you insert the flight plan, the STAR, and set up the approach runway and ILS frequencies. Approach the glideslope from underneath. Intercept the LOC, when locked, you approach the ILS glideslope, noticing the glideslope active, when captured, upon which the aircraft travels down the glide slope to the threshold if you left it. The aircraft is sort of 'captured' in the glide slope unless you disconnect the autopilot. I notice with the GTN 750, once you have set up the flight plan/SID, and upon takeoff, ensure the altitude target is set, fire up the Autopilot, select nav, making sure the GTN indicates GPS, and the GTN750 follows the flight plan very well. During the flight I insert the Arrival and approach, making sure the arrival ILS runway is set. When finished with the GPS route, and close to the FAF, I change frequency to the ILS, select approach on the PC12. I notice the GTN automatically changes from GPS to VLOCK. The a/c steadily lines up with the LOC, and approaches the glide slope. I see the glide slope become active. With a 3 degree slope, I see the a/c travel through the glide slope centre marker, then recover it ( is there a capture moment??) and we slide down the slope as what you would expect. The 5.5 EGLC slope gets busted very quickly and the aircraft simply descends very much higher than the glide slope of course. Now, as I said, this is my first approach ever with the GTN 750, so I simply need to get used to it and its methods. (AND maybe my technique is wrong??) I have the GTN750 installed in my yet to be flown Phenom 300, and also the yet to be flown FSW Falcon 50. The FSW Learjet 35A and the 441 conquest have also been fitted with the GTN750, and also need a few flights...So, I have quite a learning curve for these a/c sorted as well as their interaction with the GTN. "Have you tried the same approach with the trainer standalone"? ummm, I do not understand this statement I have seen that little triangle on the screen bring up the 'trainer', though, have no idea what it is for! I was using the ILS approach...I think I was. Could some one provide a concise ILS approach with the GTN 750 for me...eg, step 1,2,3 etc any airport will do and I will use this method to see what I am/was doing different. Jean-Luc, The insertion of the GTN flight plan is sooooo easy as well as the arrival and approach. I still need to work out how to get the direct to working...first things first..
  17. One of my favorite airports is EGLC with a 5.5 degree approach. When using the GTN 750, it seems to have a mandated 3 degree operation, making the approaches with the GTN 750 unworkable. Is there a way of changing the Glide Slope degrees on the GTN 750?
  18. Unless there is a compelling reason, I do not swap to 4.4 until all of my usual addons state they are compatible. I recall issues with the FSL A320 install where it would crash the machine because its earlier version(then 4.2) was being read by P3D. Now I am much more cautious of P3D updates...I then also have to decide on the method of P3D update..
  19. Resolved it. In my attempt to remove clutter from the map, especially during approach in EGLC, I had deselected TOPO. With TOPO deselected, the whole screen becomes very dark.
  20. I am flying at present between EGPH and EGLC during the day(world times shows 10HR 14Mins spring day) I have the GTN750 map color scheme set as day. My machine time is 11:19pm I notice the GTN 750 map is displaying nighttime view? What drives the day/night time view? It seems during the local time here, sets the GTN colour, rather than the P3D time! Can I force daytime view?
  21. Hi Marius, Ummm, I did not see any email from you. Maybe you can PM me? I will have a look at the old Photoshop version C S2 or similar....Or maybe get a "good" paint kit and get my version of Paintshop Pro working? ***Later Edit**** Found the email. I will check out the name. Curiously, I think I found that exact same repaint from another source a day ago from seeing a PC12 flight on Youtube. He provided me with a very short time link to download it. Works great.
  22. Excellent. Sometimes the basic solutions work quite well, until more system interaction is required
  23. Maybe a solution, (though not very important in the scheme of things) to get the window/door pressurisation system working: If, when on the ground, a window or door is open, the T/O Config lights up. When all doors/windows shut, good to go. When above say 10,000 feet, the windows/door controllers become inoperative, stopping any inadvertent actions.
  24. Hi Marius, what paint program(s) do you use? I have looked at Photoshop, but now very expensive for what I would use it for. I have Corel Paintshop Pro. Never done a repaint, but I think the PC 12 from Carendo is not what you would say is a starter project, regardless of what paint program I use.. I have sent a paint request to you today for one of the Royal Flying Doctor Services PC12 aircraft (VH FVF). Looks simple...Yeah, I can see you cringing now😀. It is amazing that such a prolific developer like Carendo insists on not creating a "standard" paint kit that modelers can use. Stands to reason, the more repaints out there for a given aircraft, the more customers who will buy the aircraft.
  25. I have just purchased two Carenado a/c, PC12 and Phenom 300. Is it possible to save flight scenarios and reload them so that the flight plan is still active? I just tried the usual P3D way to save and then reload a flight, but while the aircraft was still flying where I left it flying straight and level, the flight plan in the GTN750 had vanished.
