Bojote's Shader 3.0 mod for FSX
All I can say is thank you ******* for all of your hard work in bringing the ATI users into the game, with all of the things that really work, I have applied many of your tweaks and the best thing is I have had no problems getting them to work, I am able to fly with frames at unlimted, the lastest shader mod works like a dream, sure there are little things here and there but never did I think that FSX would work at this level because there has always been more miss than hit in identifying the under lying causes, don't get me wrong there have been a lot of people that have put forth a lot of effort to get this sim to perform correctly and so to all who have tried thank you. :(

Anyone using a HD 5970 with FSX (sp2)?
metalman739 replied to McCrash's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcThere is an upgrade to the shader mod, Bojote calls it the performance mod for the 5870 cards, I have installed the mod and it really makes my 5970 card really put it out, you have to follow his instructions but for me the only thing that could really turn this sim on is if FSX would run in DX11, I have applied a majority of his tweaks so as always its try and see. :Applause:

Blue screen of death
I have built a new system with all the goodies, been waiting for a while to do this, not a cheap investment and for a while I was getting BSOD everyday, did a lot of reading and all I could find as info was to use a registry cleaner, tried CCcleaner and no joy, so just for the fun of it I downloaded a copy of PC tools Registry Mechanic ver 9, have used this product for a long time, there is a function there that will do a registry compact, after I did that my problems where gone, if you are using W7 Pro, try this it worked for me, no more BSOD. :(

best anti virus for FSX?
I use ESET, best bang for the buck as far as I am concerned. :(

Anyone using a HD 5970 with FSX (sp2)?
metalman739 replied to McCrash's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI use a 5970 and have applied many of Bojote's tweaks including Shader Mod 3.1 to my FSX setup, but I will say that I have a highend system so for me FSX is areal pleasure to fly in, no complaints on my part so some things can be argued in pros and cons for ATI and Invidia.

Anyone using a high-end AMD setup for FS?
metalman739 replied to Clutch Cargo's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI am using W7/64 bit with a AMD Phenom X6 1090T, not OC and a ATI 5970 vid card, MSI 890FXA-GD70 MB with 8 gigs of Mushkin high performance memory 8,8,8,24, two Intel SSD M-25 series HD, not in Raid, Corsair HX series PS and I am getting great performance in FSX. THere are some new tweaks that allow for using Vsyc with the ATI cards now by an author named *******, one of the files is named SM3_v1.1 zip, you can also check out this web sight about all of this http://www.happy-art.ch/Forum/Flight/FSX-s...de/SM3_v1.1.zip, I plan to try some of these things when I get off work today, so hope this helps. Everthing in FSX runs very well, I would suggest going over to Blackviper.com and shut down all unnecessary background processes and over at the flight1 forum there is a post about turning FSX for W7. :(

JS4100 in DX10
There is a question that does come to mind, if Aerosoft does get their replacement out for FSX, will they have everything in place so all of the add ons that people have purchased will work with not tooo much trouble, I know for myself the computer I built, is starting to get behind the tech curve and in the beginning FSX was a real pain, I would hate to know that after getting everything to run reasonably well the new replacement would be another flightsim nightmare, by the way the Jetstream runs very well considering what I have, thanks for an outstanding product, keep em coming.

Captain Sim weather radar into JS4100
Thanks for this information it helped to get everything up and going, have to admit I had to read the post very carefully and to ck my own entries but in the end it all came together, this aircraft is one the best as far as immersion goes, so much to think about when flying it, the installation of the radar was the final touch, thanks for the help.
