  1. I need to go and download this as it looks great! I love your Oceano and KMYF sceneries, thanks for your hard work.
  2. Did you check your settings in the Aerosoft Airbus Configurator? I think default settings is for single throttle usage. If you program Throttle 1 & Throttle 2 in FSUIPC you need to select 2-throttles in the Airbus settings. Program should be found in the Aerosoft/Airbus folder with the Livery installer etc.
  3. Good Afternoon, Does P3Dv3 limit the amount of entries in an aircraft.cfg file? I have almost 400 entries in my FAIB B737-800WL folder, and half don't seem to come up in UT2. I checked my numbering order and everything looks in order and in the correct format (no missing brackets or . before the number] If so, I should be able to make a new folder and copy the model folders, .air file and create a new .cfg file correct?
  4. Looks great! Just downloaded it yesterday.
  5. How did you install UT2? Did you use the EMT? Every time I launch UT2 after being installed it asks for the FSX.CFG and FSX.EXE file.
  6. Yes, I'm only seeing the UT2 aircraft. In FSX, I would see all of the aircraft that was in the SimObjects folder. I did add a new line to the simobjects.cfg for the AI Folder, didn't know I needed to as well for the P3D.cfg, I will check it out when I get home today. Thanks!
  7. After a clean re-install I can now edit my aircrafts in UT2, except it is not seeing ANY other folders in the SimObjects folder, including my AI Aircraft folder that was added to the simobjects.cfg file. After my re-install the exe.xml and simobjects.cfg files are not in the appdata/roaming/p3d folder. I was able to make a new simobjects.cfg, but am missing the exe.xml file. Any ideas and could that be the reason why the other simobjects aren't appearing in UT2? AI is showing in P3Dv3 now with no issues. EDIT: After adding a new FP using Power Pack, UT2 now CTD when I launch it. I seriously don't know what to do here. No one else using it with P3Dv3 seems to be having these problems.
  8. Installed UT2 into P3Dv3 using the EMT and following instructions online. I get my AI traffic in P3Dv3 with no issues, but when I launch UT2 I get the following errors: When I try to edit the repaints i get the following error code: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'SelectedIndex'. I have seen that error can be caused by a .cfg file with a missing "ui_variation" line. I have removed all of the defult aircraft, AI Aircraft and UT2 aircraft folders one by one, removing them from the SimObjects .cfg files and it doesn't fix the issue. At this point I don't know what to do. Should I just attempt a clean P3Dv3 install and immediately install UT2 after that? Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Everything did install into the P3D\Sim Objects Folder and corresponding P3Dv3 folders
  10. Rob Haynes replied to Evan's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Had the same issue, maybe because it's a new computer with only P3Dv3 installed? If I install FSX and the QW757 to that, it should be able to copied over to P3Dv3? If so I would like to take you up on your offer for help. Thanks!
  11. Did you do anything in particular to get the ERJ to work? I tried installing both the ERJ and Ejets v1 last night and ended up with this using the Migration tool.
  12. More details please. So all you did was delete the exe.xml from the main P3D folder and that was it? No other issues or anything like that?
  13. Well you can definitely do that with UT2, but it does take some painstaking work. Luckily their PowerPack tool makes importing new schedules rather easy.
  14. Been using UT2 for FSX and will be for P3D when my new rig shows up at the end of the month. What I like about UT2 is the models are good (usually AI Aardvark, TFS etc.). You also can add your own AI which allows more models (FAIB, UTT etc.) and models that aren't part of UT2 such as many of the old Russian birds or the new Sukhoi Superjet 100 and Dreamliner. You can also install updated or new schedules that aren't part of UT2. It's very flexible and really lets you do what you want with the models, liveries and schedules.
  15. Hi everyone, I hope this is the correct sub forum for this subject since I believe it's an FSX issue, if not Mods, feel free to move where needed. For the past two years I have been running into issues where my computer is really having troubles running FSX, the past two months or so have worsened and flying into major cities or airports/mainline hubs are darn near impossible. To start here are my computer's specs (it was built by a local shop when I lived in Seattle in January 2010): Intel 3.2GHZ quadcore processor, 6GB of ram (three 2GB cards), Radeon HD5700 1GB video card, Asus Motherboard (Don't know which one) Windows 7 64bit, 1Tb HDD, Malwarebytes Pro My current FSX Add-Ons consist of: Utilities: Active Sky Next, REX 2.0, Ultimate Traffic II (with many added on schedules and models), Aivasoft EFB, FSDT GSX, Game Booster 3, FSUIPC (registered) Aircraft: PMDG MD11, 747, B1900C, B1900D, LevelD 767, iFLY 737, QW757, QW Avro, Aerosoft AirbusX Extended & Twin Otter, CLS A330/340, FeelThere ERJ V2/E Jets & Ejets V2, Captain Sim 727, Majestic Q400 and various Carenado models Scenery: FTX Global, FTX Vector, ORBX New Zealand NI & SI, Pacific Northwest, South Alaska, Pacific Fjords, Central Rocky Mountain & Northenr Rocky Mountain, various ORBX airports for PNW, PFJ and SA, AussieX OzX, many scenery's from Aerosoft and Fly Tampa as well as FSDT KLAX and many AFCADS from the Avsim library When I first got this computer I could run FSX with most graphic and AI settings maxed and get a consistent 25-30 FPS regardless when on the ground or in the air. When I added utilities such as REX, Active Sky 2.0 and UTX and GEX (US and Europe for both) I still had great performance. Now a days if I'm on the ground at an airport or on finals I am lucky to get 10 FPS (If I'm going to a major city I average 4-5 FPS). The other day flying into KMIA in a storm I had a FPS between 2-3 FPS. On top of that when I check my task manager it shows my computer usage bouncing between 60-100% with many spikes and my Physical Memory Usage History over 4.5 GB. Even with REX, ASE, UTX, GEX and payware scenery/aircraft it never performed like that the first two years I owned it. It was almost like an over night phenomenon when this started. I have done numerous clean FSX installs throughout the years, and it's obviously time consuming with all the add-ons listed above. I have turned down all of my settings and it still doesn't help. I have been told by some people I probably have a leaking RAM module and to run MEMTEST+ which I did. I ran it over night for 13 hours and it showed 13 Passes and 0 Fails. I am not the most techy person when it comes to computers so I'm not sure if that means I don't have a memory leak or I didn't run it long enough maybe?? Here are some shots from the task manager this afternoon. Finals into a freeware RCTP in PMDG MD11 When I paused FSX the computer usage dropped and stabilized between 30-34% Here is a shot of my task manager after rebooting my computer I need some advice as to what course of action I should take to get my sim back to where it's flyable and most importantly enjoyable. I'm definitely not techy when it comes to computers so I tried to provide as much info here as possible. Any help or advice would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance!! Rob
  16. Greetings! I am hoping someone can help me with a random problem with FSX that popped up today. I'm using FSX Acceleration Pack on a Windows8 64bit PC with a Saitek Yoke/Throttle and CH Products Pedals. I've been using this set up for years with no issues. I was starting a flight in FSX with Aerosoft's AirbusX Extended. I taxied to my runway and began my take off roll when my plane suddenly started to pull to the left. My pedals were completely unresponsive (brakes & rudder). I was able to take off with my yoke and then immediately paused the flight and chekced my pedal's calibration to which they were not responding. When I went back into the flight my plane dove into the ground and my yoke/throttles were now not working at all. I rebooted the computer, switched both USB ports my pedals & yoke/throttle were plugged into. When I reload FSX and go to my settings, it shows they are both properly calibrated, read the movements of each device when in the calibration menus etc. However, when I'm actually in the sim, there is absolutely no response at all (even the view button on my yoke). The throttles are at about 50% and the plane is turning to the left so something is sending something to FSX, but it isn't my hardware. Any ideas? Thanks guys!
  17. So far that seems to have worked, keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the help!
  18. Here is my .CFG The only thing I have changed is adding the "AI Aircraft" group to my Sim Objects section. Thanks! Rob fsx.txt
  19. Howdy all, I just recently did a clean re install of FSX and since then I have been having problems where my aircraft textures disappear when the cockpit lights are turned on. This has happened to me with the Aerosoft AirbusX Extended (turned on Cockpit lights and the tail of the exterior model and all of the paneling of the VC disappeared.) I then did a flight with FeelThere's EJets (E175). The flight started out at dawn and the cockpit lights were on, and everything looked good. As I was climbing to T/C the cockpit lights automatically switched off as the sun began to rise, and I ran into this problem with my VC and Exterior Model. As you can see the exterior model is gone, and the screens for the VC are all out of whack. I saved my flight with PVACARS, shut down FSX, reloaded the flight and everything was perfect the rest of my way to San Diego. Figuring there was something corrupted in the previous install (I was having other issues where everytime I ended a flight FSX showed a black screen instead of an aircraft on the main screen), I did another clean install yesterday. In order I: * Installed FSX and loaded the default flight * Rebooted Computer * Installed Acceleration Pack & loaded the default flight * Rebooted Computer * Installed UTX USA * Rebooted Computer * Installed UTX Europe * Rebooted Computer * Loaded FSX and default flight * Rebooted Computer * Installed All of my ORBX Sceneries with computer reboots in between * Installed Active Sky Next * Rebooted Computer * Installed REX 2.0 textures * Reboot * Installed iFly737 * Reboot When I loaded my first flight on the new install, as soon as I turned on my panel lights, I had the same problem I don't know what could be causing this and I am beginning to want to throw my computer off my balcony! My video card software hasn't changed (and I don't want to upgrade it as the newest version is incompatible with FSX) I'm on Windows7 64Bit and haven't updated anything. Any help would greatly be appreciated!
  20. Unfortunately I can't start in Safe Mode. When I power up my rig I get the ASUS screen with the option to hid DEL to go to the Set Up Menu, after that I goes to the initial black Windows scree then shuts off. I tried to restore prior to the update and still had the FSX problem where my screen was black in windowed mode. Now I can't even get to a restore screen since Windows won't even load after trying to install the v13.4 software.
  21. Well after a lengthy 15 minutes my PC failed to find the error and shut off. Now whenever I try to turn it on it get's to the black Windows screen then powers down again. At this point I really don't know what to do or what caused the error during the clean install of the v13.4 software. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not too techy with this kind of stuff.
  22. I did that, and when I tried to install v13.4 my PC restarted on it's own and then said Windows couldn't start and has been sitting there for the last 10 minutes searching for the error. Who would have though upgrading my driver would lead to such a head ache :(
  23. So, I finally figured out what has been causing my FSX problems where I get a black screen in windowed mode. Apparently my AMD's newest software (v13.9) has an issue that causes FSX to run a black screen in Windowed Mode. I read on the Aerosoft forums that downgrading back to v13.4 fixes the problem. I tried to just install v13.4 and it said it installed, a lot quicker than a usual driver update does, but my computer still says v13.9 and I get a black FSX screen. I did restart my computer after the install. I don't want to screw stuff up farther than I have, so what I want to know is the proper way to go back to v13.4. When I first run v13.4 it asks if I want to "Install" or "Remove" my software. I am scared of removing the software and there being an issue. Should I do it, restart the computer and then install v13.4?? Any ideas or help as to how I can get back to v13.4 for my AMD card and get back in the skies? Thanks! I am running Windows7 64Bit with a AMD GTX5700 (If I remember correctly) video card.
  24. Great shots and lighting!
  25. Thanks for the compliments everyone! Glad you liked them! So far NZAA is the only airport like that. ORBX PNW also does that at KSEA, but not KPDX or KBFI. It's above my add-on scenery folder in my Scenery Library, so I'm not sure how to fix that.
