  1. Hello, I posted this on the P3D forums, but thought I would try for assistance here, as well. Thanks. I recently joined iRacing and have found that if I try to use P3Dv4.4 after I use iRacing's software, I end up with a black screen after the scenario loads. I do a computer reset in between using iRacing and P3Dv4.4 The first time this happened I went in and deleted my Shaders under my APP DATA folders and P3Dv4.4 loaded from a black screen within 15 seconds when the scenario loaded. The next time I tried to use P3Dv4 after iRacing I deleted my shaders and did a computer reboot before launching P3Dv4. This time I had a black screen again after the scenario loaded. I let the screen sit over night and it was still black the following morning. The scenario is loaded as you can hear all of the sounds and if you move the mouse around you can see the cursor change when over a click-point. I am using Tomato Shade with P3Dv4. I have tried the following and each time end up with an endless black screen. After each of the steps tried below, the computer was rebooted: * Deleted the Shaders and reboot = Endless Black Screen * Reset Shader Cache in Tomato Shade and deleted Shaders = Endless Black Screen * Reset Shaders to Default in Tomato Shade = Endless Black Screen * Reset Shaders and deleted shaders = Endless Black Screen * Deleted Shaders & CFG file = Endless Black Screen * New Client install = Endless Black Screen * Updated Nvidia Drivers, deleted Shaders, deleted CFG = Endless Black Screen I'm kind of at a loss now as what to do. It's beyond frustrating another program can cause P3Dv4 to be unusable. Any help or assistance would greatly be appreciated. I am running P3Dv4.4 with TomatoShade (up to date), REX, Active Sky P3Dv4. Out of nowhere, I have a lot of 3rd party AFCADS (mainly those from Ray Smith and Robert Catherall) where all Generic Buildings and default Terminal buildings are no longer appearing within P3Dv4. I haven't made any changes to my sim recently and in fact had a fully functioning KSEA three days ago, and now it's missing all the buildings as seen in the images below. After removing all 3rd party AFCADS even the default P3D airport is missing all buildings/terminals (Default PANC was just the aprons, taxiways, runways and jetbridges). All .MDL files that are part of the compiled AFCAD show (jetway files, barriers, stairs, and buildings that are part of the model library), but anything that's a default terminal or titled a Generic Building within ADE don't appear. This doesn't happen for every airport however. Using Ray Smith's KMKE AFCAD, the entire default terminal shows, yet the default terminal for his and RWC's PANC and KSEA AFCADS are completely missing. If you open the AFCADS in Airport Design Editor all buildings show within that program, yet don't show in the sim, even with a new compile of the .BGL. Image complexity within the P3Dv4 is maxed, and as I mentioned nothing has changed recently. I'm not sure what could cause this? I have tried running a Repair of P3Dv4 and doing an uninstall and reinstall with a reboot in between. I didn't delete any folders or files though on the uninstall/reinstall. I would like to avoid that if possible. PANC showing the few buildings that are part of the Model library. All default buildings and generic buildings are missing: PANC showing .mdl's but no generic buildings Ray Smith's KMIA showing a few default terminals, but no Generic Buildings (which make up most of Terminal D) KSEA missing all default terminals and Generic Buildings. .MDL files showing This doesn't seem to be an AFCAD issue since even the default airports are missing the buildings. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!   4. Good morning everyone. I recently did a clean install of P3Dv3.4 after removing P3Dv3.2 from my computer. So far I have reinstalled all of my Orbx products (Global, Vector, North America LC, numerous scenery packages etc.) using FTX Central, Active Sky Next, Rex Essentials and HD Airports. I reinstalled all of my existing AI aircraft and traffic AFCADS from my previous install and new installs of PMDG 737NGX and Aerosoft A318, A319, A320, A321. My settings in the sim are all the same as my previous install. The issue I am having is ground textures are blurry (you will see in one image below a narrow strip behind my plane is ok, the rest is a blur), AI textures are taking FOREVER to show up (upwards of a minute), there are texture issues with the Aerosoft A319 and the lighting effects don't display for upwards of 30 seconds. Texture issue on the ground at Aerosoft AnchorageX AI aircraft textures take a ridiculously long time to load (15-40 seconds) and never was a problem on my old install Ground textures are weird and you can see large effects from the plane windows, strobe etc VC lighting takes a long time to reappear (button illumination and dash lighting) Notice the terrain is blurry other than the strip of properly loaded textures behind my aircraft (plane is heading south) Lighting effects (strobes, beacon and logo light) not working. Missing AI textures.     Airbus X with FSUIPC - Throttle wont move

    Did you check your settings in the Aerosoft Airbus Configurator? I think default settings is for single throttle usage. If you program Throttle 1 & Throttle 2 in FSUIPC you need to select 2-throttles in the Airbus settings. Program should be found in the Aerosoft/Airbus folder with the Livery installer etc.
  6. Good Afternoon, Does P3Dv3 limit the amount of entries in an aircraft.cfg file? I have almost 400 entries in my FAIB B737-800WL folder, and half don't seem to come up in UT2. I checked my numbering order and everything looks in order and in the correct format (no missing brackets or . before the number] If so, I should be able to make a new folder and copy the model folders, .air file and create a new .cfg file correct?

    UT2 for V3

    Thanks Brandon. I don't have FSX installed since this is a brand new computer and I was hoping to just run P3D. Did you copy the P3D.cfg and rename it FSX.cfg? That's what I did. Every time I try to launch UT2 it asks for the FSX.cfg file (even though I directed to the one in the P3D Roaming folder) and the FSX.EXE file ( in my main P3D folder thanks to EMT). Did I do something wrong for that to happen?

    Yes. Migration tool stays enabled unless I am installing something with a P3Dv3 installer.
  10. How did you install UT2? Did you use the EMT? Every time I launch UT2 after being installed it asks for the FSX.CFG and FSX.EXE file.
  11. Yes, I'm only seeing the UT2 aircraft. In FSX, I would see all of the aircraft that was in the SimObjects folder. I did add a new line to the simobjects.cfg for the AI Folder, didn't know I needed to as well for the P3D.cfg, I will check it out when I get home today. Thanks!

After a clean re-install I can now edit my aircrafts in UT2, except it is not seeing ANY other folders in the SimObjects folder, including my AI Aircraft folder that was added to the simobjects.cfg file. After my re-install the exe.xml and simobjects.cfg files are not in the appdata/roaming/p3d folder. I was able to make a new simobjects.cfg, but am missing the exe.xml file. Any ideas and could that be the reason why the other simobjects aren't appearing in UT2? AI is showing in P3Dv3 now with no issues. EDIT: After adding a new FP using Power Pack, UT2 now CTD when I launch it. I seriously don't know what to do here. No one else using it with P3Dv3 seems to be having these problems.

    UT2 for V3

    Used the migration tool, installed it to my P3D location (E:\Prepar3d_v3). When I try to launch UT2 (just did ANOTHER install) it asks for my FSX.cfg file and then for FSX itself. Not sure what to do there, I thought the Migration tool would handle that stuff. I don't understand why I cant get this to work.

    When I launch P3Dv3 it plays the UT2 song, then about 10 seconds later I get this pop up and the UT2 Initiated song tries to play another 5 times or so.
