  1. Try turning Bloom off worked for me Best
  2. Sucked all the way to the ground 😂
  3. I’d read in another thread that the 3D trees might be causing a performance slow down and sure enough they were for me I'm away for a week so haven’t been able to try the update, I could be wrong but was under the impression that the update dealt with the performance issue
  4. I’ve got an Alienware G-sync Ultimate hardware monitor, after SU7 in some situations I was dropping down to 23/24 FPS from mid 30’s, the sim was still butter smooth,I didn’t see any frame rate stuttering during the transitions ive since removed Bijan’s 3D trees and now back up to my normal mid 40’s to 50’s FPS for me G-sync hardware is a game changer, the monitors are expensive but tend to be top quality, I couldn’t go back Best
  5. Here’s a list of G-Sync and G-Sync Compatible monitors with specs including their Variable Refresh Rate ranges hope it helps https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/ Best
  6. So after a couple of hours tooling around in the FBW a320 at all altitudes around Bristol with Pilot Plus add on I can say it’s running silky smooth with Ian’s recommended settings, monitor @ 240Hz, simulator limited to 57fps in NCP, Vsync off in the FS2020 ok there is the occasional small random stutter but too infrequent to ruin the illusion of flight, the annoying micro stutters have vanished, especially those on the ground out of the side windows when taxying/ take off now looking into RTSS Best
  7. Thanks for the replies my times a bit limited at the moment so grabbing quick sessions when I can and have been messing with with different settings in a not very methodical or logical way hence the monitor being at 60Hz off to try your recommended settings Ian i’ll let you know how it goes Best
  8. Following this thread with interest, I have just added an RTX3080 coupled with I7 10700k processor and have a Gsync hardware monitor @ 60hz although it can go up to 240Hz im a bit confused with where to fix at 60fps, NCP or in sim with sync ? at the moment the sim is very smooth with the odd little stutter, averaging 40-50fps in heavy scenery in the FBW A320 sometimes up to 60fps limit which I’m guessing is because the monitor is set to 60Hz ? any advice is welcome as there seem to be so many options cheers
  9. I was using MSI RTSS For the first time, frame rate limited to 30fps, descending into a grass strip my frame rate suddenly dropped to 15fps I increased the RTSS frame rate to 100 and my frames immediately recovered to around 50fps, which strangely is about 10 more than I normally get This effect was repeatable
  10. I'm running a I5 2500k @ 4.6, 8gb ram with a 2gb gtx770 just down loaded the latest nvidia drivers and am now able to set monitor refresh at 50hz so with 1/2 vsync in Inspector and frames limited to 25 in fsx I get the same smoothness as with 30fps and monitor at 60hz but which I could not always maintain 30fps, this is great as my system has the headroom to run at 25fps all day long I run with all the usual addons ie, NGX, orbx england, rex, uk2000 airports etx and AA 2x sgss with most sliders to the right cheers Adam
  11. its discussed on page 1of the forum of classic british flight sim sub section cbfs forum Haven't read the thread Best Jaz
