  1. I have the MCP combo panel and it works good with several planes including the level-d 767. The thing that sucks is that you have to select in their software which plane you are using. It doesn't detect it automaticly. A bit annoying, but other than that it works just as described.
  2. No problem!I'm using windows 7 64bit. Also good to note eyefinity will not work with XP. Yeah I am using an older 4670 series card for my secondary card. No problem at all running 2 additional monitors there for gauges. I actually had the ATI and nVididia cards working together, the only thing that doesn't work is the eyefinity feature, so kind of pointless. No problems using 2 different series ATI cards tho. Really happy with the performance upgrade!
  3. Only if you go win 7 64bit and upgrade to 4GB+ RAM, otherwise I don't see a major benefit. I have a dual booth and get better FPS with windows 7 x64 than XP
  4. I got a 5850 Card and it's a great improvement from my 9800GTX, but I would like to note for those looking do use the triple-monitor feature that if you don't have a monitor with a display port you MUST buy an active display port to DVI adapter $99 (The cheap ones won't work), add that to the price of the card and it's not cheap set up. But it works great! I'm very happy with the results. Also can not be combined with a nvidia card. I had to swap my secondary card to another ATI card to get 5 monitors running.
  5. I love all the FSdreamTeam Airports, great add on if you have a good PC!+1 for the Level-D 767.Other favorites are REX and MegasceneryX
  6. Windows 7 64bit will have much more support than XP 64. I would recommend 7.Yeah you can swap your hard drive to revert back as long as you don't change your motherboard or any major hardware component.
  7. Are you running Vista or XP right now? If you are running XP I don't really see a big benefit form it, but from Vista probably yeah. 7 is been working good on my PC minus a few bugs that were simple to resolve.
  8. Thanks for the response. Looks like I'm having issues in windowed mode too. I get random polygons popping in and out. I think I'm giving up on the the 3 views at once, system just can't handle it. I'll be sticking to 1 front view spanned.
  9. Hello,OK running windows 7 64bit, latest nvidia drives Monitor 1 and 2 are using dualhead2go to output 1 on 9800GTXMonitor 3 to output 2 on 9800GTXMonitor 4 on 8600GTSok at first monitors 1 and 2 worked on full screen (40+ fps) but full screen with monitor 3 would drop the FPS to 3 or less. On widowed mode it works fine (30+ fps across all monitors). I tried messing with the nvidia settings, now I have the opposite, full screen on monitor 3 works fine, a full screen with 1 and 2 (with or without monitor 3) drops the fps to 3. Now full screen on monitor 3 AND 4 works just fine. So I just can't get monitor 1 2 to work on full screen.Any ideas?thanks!
  10. Thank you guys for the suggestions! very nice screen shots!
  11. Hello,Been using FSX for a while but I just can't get a decent framerate on FSX using 3 monitors with 3 different views on my 3.0ghz Core2duo. I'm trying FS2004 now and I'm getting much better results and looks like the high settings on FS2004 looks better than the medium settings I have on FSX. My question is what cloud pay/free-ware do you guys recommend to get closer to FSX's REX2.0 Clouds? Thanks!
  12. Does X-Plane support a multi-monitor setup with different resolutions? I have 3 x 20" monitors with a dualhead2go, for outside view and 1x19" and 1x17 for instruments. Could I use this with X-plane at different resolutoins?Thanks!
  13. Good info here,my question is how many monitors are you running? because with 1 monitors I get very good quality video at high settings with my core2duo 3.0ghz but I use 5 monitors for my ideal setup. 3 for outside view and 2 for instruments. Now that's really kills the frame rate on my PC to 14-20fps. Have you tried 3+ monitors? I would like to know how that runs before I upgrade to an i7.thanks
  14. thanks J0nx, that worked! Tho I'm getting horrible frame rate with directX compared to classic. I'll have to play around with it.
  15. thanks, yeah I have the latest 190.62Any other suggestions?
  16. I don't see it. I believe is the same as vista! It's a shame!
  17. Hello, just did a clean install of windows 7 and FSX. On windowed mode is working great but when I got to full screen screen goes back and forth between a small window and a black screen, then the small window satys on still showing the desktop. Full screen won't workI installed the latest nvidea drivers, fsx sp1 and sp2video card is 9800GTX with a dualhead2go, native resolution is set the same on windows and fsxThank you!
  18. Have you installed the latest drivers from matrox? I know it works right out of the box but once you install their drivers and run their optimization application you get better native resolutions.Do you ahve a dual DVI card? I have a 9800GTX card with the dualhead, 3 x 20" LCD's and I love it. I Don't really see the need for a triple head since I use forward-left, front and forward-right instead of a big front span.
  19. I say go for it! I like frnt view + side views way better than front span!! As long long as your pc can handle it, it zounds like a good setup
  20. I have 2 x 20" wide LCDs, getting a 3rd soon and I use forward-left, center and forward right. I think it's a great setup. Not such a thing as TOO wide :(
  21. thank you for the reply.I plan on adding a dualhead2go to one of the outputs on the 9800gtx to bring it to a total of 3 monitors and have forward-left, forward and forward-right. But for example if it take one of the forward views and move it to a monitor connected to the 8600gts card the frame rate drops dramatically. If i hadanother 9800gtx would the frame drop not be so drastic or it wouldn't make a difference since it's a CPU limitation?thanks
  22. Hello. I'm running 2 video cards with 4 monitors. If I close the panels on the secondary video card obviously I get better frame rate. Main card is a 9800gtx the second card is a 8600gts. Would upgrading the 8600gts be worth it? It's only for panels. No outside view.Thanksrunning fsx. Intel core2 duo 3.00 ghz
  23. I have that same card and it was a great improvement over my previous gt8600. It comes with a Y adapter and you can use any 2 free power plugs from your current PSU if you don't have a new 6-pin type.
