1. Thanks for all the comments! In reference to the sky, it is a REX setting (i use OD but dont think its one of those.....) and EMB was on.
2. Hey guys, Posted this in our local forums for our virtual airline but as its this wonderful video was made with the NGX, thought you guys might appreciate it also! Aerosoft's Approaching Innsbruck is the scenery here and its really a treat in the NGX! The terrain radar is pretty awesome in this area! Just a bit about the airline, part of the flycay group, we are based out of Geneva and fly our NGX around Europe (also the PMDG MD-11 around the world!). Anyway to the video! If you feel like joining us, head on over to www.flycay.com
3. Please! we would love a 200ER!200LR/F/300ER base pack, 200ER/A addon?Pretty Please with Sugar on top??? I did ask nicely! :(
4. Thanks for the info. Kind of wish there was the option to have the old "newer" ones back. All the 738 sims I flew had the new look panels. Perhaps in another update? Kind of simple way to switch like with the MCPsThanks for the info. Kind of wish there was the option to have the old "newer" ones back. All the 738 sims I flew had the new look panels. 5. tried to read through but couldnt find anything on this (sorry if its already been discussed!), but the COM's panel, the colours of the dials changed? They are more "old school" and are not the same type of displays as the MCP's and TCAS.Have i not got the newest update to fix that?
6. when you reverse, and you finished, you put your car in park and wait for the pin on the right/left hand side...... also before you drive off, you say "clear on the left/right" and check back just to see if anything is actually there rather than using the trusty wing mirrors!
7. I disagree Paul, I think from where PMDG stood at the time of launch, they believed to have what they wanted to release. I mean they waited so long already, adding another couple of months would of had the community go bonkers but hey, that happens no matter what. These issues that have been found have only been because of the launch of the aircraft to the wider market. You can never expect to launch a program and expect it to be 100% on every machine out there in the world as you never tested it with that many machines. There is a paint kit already, otherwise how would we already have liveries from PMDG? Its just that due to soo many factors that happened at launch that some things have been left aside which is a bit disappointing.
8. indeed, the full paint kit/livery manager integration thing is a very nice touch, but ppl could of been creating all these liveries using the PSD's and then added them in the old fashioned way while PMDG fix up the issues and then launch the livery manager integration tool. I am awaiting the paint kit, as the division i run for a virtual airline wont be receiving its new B738s until the boss man (not me but the dude i report to!) gets his PMDG version of the livery.... grrr!
9. another "famous question" any idea when the paint kit will be released??
10. encountered an issue on a flight today from MUCL-TTPP My route of flight had me going to a VOR (POS) which is roughly 8 miles south of the field. I changed my route in flight to proceed to the Approach fix for the ILS rwy10 in TTPP. my airway in was the UL337 and so i made the approach fix (SHARK) be put into the CDU after VUDAL. This came up with an error on the CDU saying "VNAV Disconnect" and put the aircraft into "ALT Hold" The fixes on the approach had altitude restraints (SHARK at 4100ft and the TRINB at 1400) and the FMC didnt want to recalculate my descent profile. I removed the altitude restrictions to see if that would clear the error but that didnt do it either. So I had to go back to the old school way to calculate my descnet. I am wondering if anybody has had this issue yet or is there something I am doing wrong?
11. As the title says, any idea on when this will be out? Some of us looking to creating some 'fictional' liveries for our VAs....
12. ok seems with the same weight, in the PMDG colours, its climbing "normally"
13. running ASE and tried with it off and cleared all weather and still seemed to get very low performance. at FL230 i was showing +5C TAT. This is in the Caribbean region.
14. Hey PMDG Trying out the repaint in the Copa 738WL and I am getting terrible climb performance. at FL230 with a gross weight of 128.1lbs and cannot climb really. In the AOA teamspeak we did some troubleshooting and it seems that I am doing everything right but just cant get any climb performance. I am wondering if there might be some issue with a cfg??? People flying the Alaska repaint (and a heavier gross weight than me) has better climb performance than me which makes me wonder if there is something inside the repaints...
15. tbh its not really my main concern here but i guess a list would help. What i would love to hear more about is the paintkit! Is it going to be released also on the same day as the NGX?
16. Question.......Does PMDG have a limit line?? For example..... VNAV issues. Is there a time limit that perhaps you've tried and tried and tried and its still not 100% right but 99.9999% correct? say its been 4 months and still no 100%, do you say "sorry but we cant!" and move on?I mean i know you all strive for exactness, but sometimes the software cant do everything you want............
17. i was bein sarcastic in my last post btw!
18. No it wont happen as you see the whole team is having a break from all this and decided to help see how good the "other teams" NG is. They really love it!:(
19. Well things may have changed since i was last up there (the 757 was still being made!) but it use to be as follows,Aircraft built at KRNT, they were left unpainted (apart from the rudder which was), and then first flight was always from KRNT to KBFI. Testing was then down out of KBFI.The reason was due to KRNT having a very short runway and its not really suitable for all these test flights. Aircraft were painted and fitted (if the airline wanted) at KBFI and then delivery also took place there.KBFI was also the delivery for some of the larger jets also. I remember seeing a brand new BA 772 departing KBFI to London back in 96! She was one of the first BA 772s that they got.For my VA, we are grabbing some B738s for our European hub at Geneva (Eurocay- a division of flycay.com) and making it an event for the delivery of our aircraft. Routing is KBFI- Gander-Shannon-Geneva to allow pilots to choose legs of different lengths and be apart of the delivery event!
20. Any chance of some shots of other models also? 900? 700? 600???
21. I also had this issue when i upgraded to Win7. It is i believe due to the font that PMDG used in the MD is no longer in Win7. There was a topic about this and you have to re add the font back into Windows.
22. I believe that after the aircraft has all wheels on the ground, spoilers and reverse are deployed, the autopilot is suppose to come off as it has done its job for the autoland.
23. Ah thanks for the info Ryan! Reading up on the wiki, that it is to have at least 16 meter horizontal accuracy and 20 meter vertical accuracy 95 percent of the time! Now i would of thought that is still quite a lot of inaccuracy, especially when on approach. Would hope that those numbers in meters would be feet!I'm sure once GPS,GLONASS,and Galileo all become fully public, then we can maybe expect the accuracy to increase and the possible CATIII RNAV approaches becoming a possibility.Perhaps we are seeing the end of ILS/VORs and NDBs soon!
