No thrust when moving thrust levers
I can't log-in or submit a ticket to support, if needed I will gladly support a ticket to the following, to another characters: b a s e b o n e 1 @ h o t m a il . c o m. That's a spam e-mail so it might take a while, but it's mine and I still have/had this bug. I have no qualms submitting my real account to someone from pmdg making an enquiring if needed though. I have an account/s pretty much buying everything but the 1900c/d so we should be good regardless.

No thrust when moving thrust levers
Just wanted to let know that this was an issue for me as well. "Just remove everything after "SITUATION=" and restart FSX." That fixed it, but the funny part was the 900 version would perform fine from cold+dark before I implemented that fix. (Cessna 172, engine off, mixture 0, master off, avionics off, at KMKC parking).

And after PMDG B777 ?
L1011 here, Boeing is nice and all, I just have very fond memories of the L10 being the first wide body I ever flew on (being a kid, it was amazing compared to the 727 and DC-9/MD-80's). All the start engine smoke + the first auto-land. Just a cool bird. As far as airbus vs. boeing, it's probably just a nationalism thing. Idk, maybe it's just part of the PR obfuscation, I can fly a boeing, but I have to make sure that the airbus is in the right mode before I fly it (at least that's the bias as I understand it). I wish McDonald Douglas, heck Lockheed and everyone else was still around though (I guess they are, but just not our aircraft wise) =/..... Great big "meh" all around tho, go L1011!!! Tim Neelan.

2D vs 3D cockpit?
I love the VC view, but for inputs the 2d can't be beat. VC for flying 2d buttons for input imo. Tim Neelan
- Thank you PMDG

Programmers
I'm sort of a "programmer"(spelling not so much) but to be an official one you would need to focus in Computer Science, the money's definately good there (my budy's in it). But make sure you get a descent lab teacher or you can be ######ed over by him.Personally I became a graphic designer/scripter and I can tell you all the programming I do is the same crap we did for Java and data models that we had to do in CS.As much as it's terribly special... it isn't., but th degree pays more bills than GD let me tell you.The only thing, be advised that you need around ~2500 hours to even apply for commercial airlines (like B1900D), take that into account (the Navy will at least take people with Glasses for Helo pilots, but for everything else if you have glasses you're screwed(according to recruiters at the time...lolololol)). I wanted to start flying, but it would have taken too long, too much money when I started. Be aware of that.Otherwise programming is easy as hell once you get the basics, just be ready to learn the syntax. (sorry CS peeps, I did most of the circulum at least). But despite, being where I am today and all that. I hate my job. It's great and I can support myself, but at this point I think flying from place to place with <b>no personal time</b> would be more fun (I've definately heard some terrible stories of life from people my age flying cargo where their life sucks... maybe depends on how much of an introvert you are). Also many EE majors == a dual CS major with like 1 other class. Just get past Calc 2 :(Oh, and most GD stuff doesn't give you anything in the way of programming, I'm lucky I had some of CS tbh, just saying.Oh yea,John Gordonseriously this full name stuff is a bad idea on the internets, google your name.

Screen artifacts after installation
exactly what I saw, and was discussed in:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=286733vat least I hope was disucussed, because that's what I had. Restarted FSX and no messing with Display settings was the fix (and not using fullscreen/windowed toggle). The screenshots you show would pretty much happen with every single frame ( as in generate epileptic shock effect ).

5770 vs GTX260
And to contrast, I'm happy with the 5770 performance here. Can't really compare the two, but the 5770 is ~$50 cheaper and it overclocks failry easily via the ATI drivers +160 mhz GPU, +200 mhz RAM. No added voltage.Super sampling seems to slow it down, but tbh, I can't tell the difference between 4x anti-aliasing and anything else with a 27" 1080p screen.

Saitek Pro Flight Panels
If I understand how addon aircraft work, and I don't. I think they use their own autopilot code that doesn't really have anything to do with FSX's autopilot which is why an SDK is needed. You'll have to ask the authors for more clarification.I have noticed that some addon aircraft, i.e. the F1 ATR will display odd things such as when you switch it to altitude mode it will show your current altitude. Or if you switch V/S mode it switches to you current V/S speed (i.e. even if it's not what you set).

Strange gray polygons when flying js41
I do, but it's usually only if I try and resize the screen or moving back and forth from full screen via alt+enter. Maybe something to do with the ENB mod as well?Restarting FSX fixes it, but it's annoying.I'm using an ATI card FYI.John Gordon
