Anyone know how place a wind direction arrow and wind strength on the map page of the GTN 750 in the Carenado Phenom 300? I have seen it in some of the pictures posted on this forum but I cannot find any info as to how to enable it. Thanks for any help. Update: I found out how to enable ... if others need to know....select the Menu button at the bottom of the Map page and then select Change User Fields in the Map User Fields section.

Hello I have both the GTN 750 and the Navigraph Extension 1.2 installed in the Carenado 300.. I see from a different post that the Navigraph Extension is not needed or wanted. My questions would be: Should I remove the Navigraph Extension 1.2 or just leave it as is? Should I install the new Navigraph Extension 1.3? If yes to installing the new Extension, should the old one be removed first or install the new over the old one? Thanks for any support Jack

Hello...I could use a bit of help if you don't mind. Can I throw a little wrinkle into the mix? I have both FSX and FSX-SE installed. I notice that the two versions are found in the directories of the above file structures that you describe....not just FSX. ...FSX ...FSX-SE Suppose I want to remove the FSX-SE version at some time but keep FSX. I assume I follow your instructions from above but just remove the FSX-SE and leave the FSX. In the registry folders I assume that I go into the directory tree to Microsoft Games ...open it and remove just the FSX-SE Only area that I am not sure of is in the registry...in the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" , inside the Microsoft Games folder there is only one folder ....flight simulator. If I remove the Microsoft Games folder, it would remove the flight simulator folder contained inside. Where I still have FSX installed ... I'm not sure of this final step.. Any advise? Jack

Could use some feed back with an issue with entering a flight plan using the G1000. I have the GTN 750 installed and working fine but I thought that I would, just for the fun of it, try to load a flight plan using the original G1000. I have Navigraph extension 1.2 installed. windows 7. Following the instructions in the manual, plus experimenting with different methods, I am only able to select the "Select Approach" option in the Procedures page(window). All other PROC options are grayed out. No matter what I try I can not get the options to be selectable. I perhaps should mention that I was omitting any checklists.... just doing a cold/dark startup ...opening the G1000 and trying to enter a flight plan. I did not think that that would be an issue. Any suggestions? Jack

Well things seem to be working ok now. I have tried a few flights and switching between the the two systems and things work fine. Hopefully it was just a couple computer glitches that caused my original problems.

When I get a chance I will try it a few more times to see if it is or is not a problem or if it was just an unrelated problem with my computer that happened while switching between the two software systems. I will post my results. Thanks Bert Jack

Thanks Bert. I was a little uncertain because twice when trying to do so I have had computer problems develop... First time the display screen of the MFD went completely black and I was unable to use any of it's features. Tonight after a long flight using the GTN 750, after landing when I tried to use the Prodigy MFD to check some systems, but not use it for navigation, my windows menues stopped displaying correctly. They had the characters/letters shown as solid, irregular blocks, so you could not read them. For example if you right clicked on the screen to see the dropdown menue. Any ideas Jack

Hello I have the GTN 750 Mod installed ... with help from Bert. It works fine. Can one still use the G1000 MFD for going through the various checklists and for looking at the different systems displays and then open the GTN 750 for the navigation process and flight plan installation or does switching between the too ( GTN 750...G1000 ) cause problems? Hello Nothing important but.... ( FSX) Just wondering if the Cabin Effects Light...Bright .... dim .... Off ... work in the Phenom 3000 because I have tried numerous times to look for any changes when selecting the different settings but I see none. Can one adjust the COG or do you only use the Fuel and Cargo Planner option in FSX? How does one determine what pitch setting to use for take off ...... for different take off situations? Is there a graphical display showing the different pitches for different COG? I remember seeing one somewhere but I have tried relocating it but I cannot find it? Maybe it was in a different plane than the Phenom 300 but I definitely remember seeing a horizonal diagram showing different pitch settings for different COG. Seems to me it appeared at the lower left of the FMC display. Do the V1, V2, VR get announced as they are reached during take off? Is there some option I must enable for this to happen? Hello I just purchased this aircraft. Does the Carenado 300 Phenom have reverse thrust capability when landing because I can't get it to engage? It works fine in the default learjet using my CH throttle quadrant. Looking at the exterior engine model I don't see any indication of panels that can be moved to deflect thrust. If one is new to this type of aircraft, such as I, where would one start searching to learn the steps needed to start up from cold/dark and to use the G1000? Searching YouTube ??? Thanks Jack

Hello again ... posted up above, a while back. New problem that I hope someone can help with. My computer hard drive had to be replaced ... in the process the computer guy installed AMD CCC version 14.0417.2226.38446 and Driver Packaging Version 14.10.1006-140417a-171099C, Catalyst Version 14.4. My computer spec are above in a previous post. Couldn't figure out how to copy it. The new install of FSX has some issues which are annoying; such as , when exiting FSX, it gives a fatal fault error message and then reboots.... the CH yoke button mapped to VC view does not work after changing to some aircraft.... an instrument view window when opened in VC view works fine but if I leave that VC view and then come back to the VC view the instrument view is closed again, forcing me to re open it every time I return to the VC view. More small bugs like the above not worth mentioning because the problem is clear. Should FSX be working with this newer CCC version? If so, what could be the cause with this new install? Which version of CCC should I roll back to if that is a cure? Thanks J35

I have been watching this topic and have not yet updated the driver. Question to the more knowledgeable than me if posting here is ok. Should I upgrade to the newer 13.11 Beta 9.2 from the present 13.4 if things are running fine and if I am mainly interested in the FSX program as opposed to the other games mentioned above? Would it be a waste of time with my setup? Window 7 Home Premium intel( R) i7 2600 [email protected] GHz, 4 core, 64 bit, 8 G ram, Radeon HD 6900 series ---- 6950 , 1 G ram, eyefinity three 24" monitors. I have installed the panel fix for the default aircraft which cured the running cursor issue for those who know of what I speak. Other aircraft still cause concerns but that is another issue unless this new driver helps that problem. I get the impression that this new card would not effect the FSX but make new games run more efficiently. Any advice would be appreciated Jack

Hello Manny Thanks for the help. I stayed up late last night and tried these changes with similar results when just trying your changes now. I did the following //window00=Main Panel //window10=horizontal Panel Bar //window12=Checklist Info //window13=Horizontal Wing View Bar and have good results so far.. no CTD and good fps. When I tried to keep the checklist Info line I got the spinning cursor and frame drop. My fps have double plus some with these changes. Never made any changes to the Base ...Fallback...panel.cfg. Wonder if changes need to be done here as well.

Hello Mamny. I could use some help please. I hope you see this message. I also have airbus X extended latest update 1.16 installed on Windows 7, radeon 6900, eyefinity with tripe monitors. I have the panel fix for default aircraft working fine but I get the spinning cursor in the airbus x with frame drops ..runs between 14 to 20 fps, 50-60 fsp in default aircraft. I need some help with your fix for the airbus panel.cfg change. I have gone to the SimObjects ...... Airplanes.....Aersoft Airbus X A320 Extended CFM NEO...Panel...panel.cfg. Need help finding the correct lines to // out?? I see windows 03 to 09 listed with nothing in them and a note saying they are for free addons. I // them anyway with no change. Also looked in the Aerosoft Airbus Extended Base ...Panel, fallback...panel.cfg with no luck. Any ideas Thanks Jack

Thanks. don't mix them. I was just wondering about future updates down the road ... may have to do the same thing again which is .... see if it works, if not revert back to the old one... and only try it if it has the Catalyst control Center and Driver combo. Would you agree? Jack

Hello guys. I read this topic a few months ago and I had the same problem after properly installing the 13.9 update. Went back to previous driver and FSX is working fine again. I just checked in again to see if there were any new updates. I see that I have driver version 12.104 and Catalyst Version 13.4.. Would this be reasonable, meaning the Catlyst Control Version 13.4 has driver version 12.104? Any suggestions as to which driver or Catalyst Control Center I should go to? I have Radeon HD 6950 series, W 7, 64 bit. Thanks for any help Jack

Hi Guys I just noticed your discussions. Yes I was trying to do as Ron mentioned. I did get the panel fix installed and working for default aircraft and I did try to compare the fixes to the third party aircraft panel.cfg. I got the main panel to appear correctly for the DC3 NH third party but I am still getting the spinning cursor and a bit slower framerate so I still have to figure out what is still causing this issue. I am also having another issue with the default DC3 and the third party DC3 NH having their engines losing all power at random times in flight now. I have tried numerous flight in the Rockie's from Golden BC to Revelsoke BC and the engine throttle will all of a sudden drops to zero. Restarts of the engines fails. I then flew over NS with no failures..then back to the Rockie's and same failures again? I was getting numerous messages that the engines were losing power due to fuel mixture not being correct. My corrections seemed to do no good? I don't expect you guys to try you solve this problem. I am just relating where I am with this triple screen issue. Jack

Thanks for putting my post in the correct spot. I had to do some searching to get this all in order. I found the fix in two different places but one is here in the library forum. Search for fsx-triplewide-panels_defaultac.zip. The other was on Flightsim.com. This is a fix for the 2d panel not showing up in the triple screen display with eyefinity whn in the 2 D panel view. You will see a blacked out area across the three screens where the panel would normally go. You also get a spinning cursor (running) and slower frame rates. This fix cures that problem for the default aircraft. Now I'm trying to fine the same fix for third part aircarft showing the same problem..specifically the DC3 NH found on the DC3 Airways Virtual Airline. There are some differences in it's panel.cfg from the standard DC3 so I 'm having trouble inserting the changes for the defaults into the DC3 NH panel.cfg. I would like to get the airbus x extended when it is released but only if I can get this triple screen problem fix for it.

I just installed 3 monitors with eyefinity and I have the 2D panel missing problemas wel as the spinning icon. Hi guys I have the same problem... java script error. It has always work fine until yesterday. I use IE9. I did the java update with no luck. Went back to IE8 just now with no luck. Tried to fine DC3 Airways Virtual Airlines email address through google searching and found you here. I hate to change the browser just for one site. Perhaps if you can contact them and mention the problem they may try to correct the issue. There may be many of us in the same boat....I am reluctant to switch to a different browser usless forced to. Thanks Jack
