  1. Hi PMDG Just wondered if you had chance to look at my email i sent you regarding not seeing the NGX in my previous purchases. May be a mix up with using 2 email addresses on my login details. Hope you get back to me as i really want to try sp1d! Regards Steve Cummings
  2. Hi guys quick question, currently have a 20' monitor running at 60hz. With Nvidia inspector set at half refresh rate I need 30fps in FSX to get smooth visuals. If I upgrade monitors to a 27' running at 120Hz does that mean I need 60 fps for a smooth experience? (Which we know isn't possible). Can anyone attest to how smooth it runs on a larger monitor? Do you still tick half refresh rate in NI? Cheers Steve
  3. After getting nowhere with the new driver and not being able to roll back inspector to previous version, I re-installed the previous driver and hey presto, the 1/2 vsync and external rate limiter set at 30 fps are working properly again, all artefacts gone. Not sure i wanna risk upgrading drivers again!
  4. Still getting the wave effect with the latest NVIDIA driver and latest inspector. Tried downloading previous version of inspector but resorts to latest version so can't roll this back. If anyone has a smooth sim with the latest of these 2 applications could they please post a list of their Inspector settings as this is driving me crazy! Just don't understand the new Inspector options. with FPS limiter set to 30 and 1/2 Vsync I get the wave effect. with limiter turned off I get rid of wave effect but stutters are present (as expected). May have to roll back driver and see if that helps. Any posting of Inspector settings in latest version would be greatly appreciated!!
  5. Don't know if anyone has optimised these yet, spent all weekend trying to put my previous Inspector settings into the new version. The problem is there are a few new options which I didn't understand, so the crux of this post is that I couldn't reproduce the smoothness of the old driver and settings. Although a few have reported better frames with the new driver, I get a strange wave effect on screen when turning with external frame rate locked at 30. When I run unlimited this effect is gone, but there are slight stutters in turns (which weren't there before) and more blurries. Think I will have to roll back to previous driver, (:-)
  6. I installed these drivers tonight, and put my old inspector settings back in, but when flying around in sim there is a wave like effect to the scenery which I didn't have before. any thoughts on how to correct this without rolling back drivers?

  8. I am sure a while ago when I viewed underneath the fuselage where you can look back and forward, that the forward view had the nosewheel in it. Thought it was cool, but since I first noticed it now I don't see the nosegear and there is just an empty space. You can look up into the nose wheel bay but no front wheel to be found! Anyone else noticed this as it would be a cool view on take-off to see the nose wheel retract.
  9. Thanks but have tried all these tweaks. at mo have dialled back autogen and traffic is at 23%, no road vehs. At EGLL in NGX strangely when pan round cockpit with mouse it is much smoother than with hat switch on joystick. haven't tried TrackIR yet. Just saw nirvana at EGCC when did a bank in the microlight and frames hit 60, smooth as butter, but when dropped below this microstutters appeared. As others have said its linked to the screen refresh rate of 60Hz
  10. Hi guysI am also struggling with this phenomenom. New i5 at 4.6GHZ with 560ti card. Thought it would be silky smooth after what has been said on the grapevine but only at 60fps. Anything less, whether framelimited or not has microstutters. General texture sharpness is great, and being in VC seems to improve smoothness slightly (especially runway at takeoff and landings). Dropping all traffic and autogen settings right back now to see if that helps, shame really with new hardware. Hope something that properly works for this appears soon as I may just stick with 'unlimited' inside FSX. Another slightly disgruntled customer.
  11. Hi GuysNew on this forum, just had a basic question to ask. I am getting an overclocked bundle this week and wanted to know what a 'safe' CPU voltage was? It will be clocked to 4.6GHZ so would 1.4v be in the right ball-park?CheersS
  12. Hi PMDG Just wondered if you received my ticket last night as I apparently used up all my activations trying to load this plane. Just want to go for a flight this morning but worried I have a terminal problem with my machine! CheersSteve Cummings
  13. Hi PMDG Hope you can help me out, just bought the NGX this evening in UK. Tried activation code and it said activation successful but then immediately a microsoft warning came up - do you trust this software? and before i could click 'yes' FSX crashed and the activation box came up again. Didn't know if this was the server issue people reported earlier or not, so put code in again, and after doing it a few times got a message 'activations exceeded'. This is the first time I have downloaded a product from PMDG as previously bought the DVDs. Tried to submit ticket but it doesn't seem to be workingCheersSteve Cummings
  14. Hi Lee,I feel really stupid posting this as no-one else here seems to have any problem installing your repaints. I have set the max load to 2048 in cfg and unzipped the file to the MD11 folder, and then pasted the text you said into the .cfg that was created within your repaint folder. I wonder if this last point is where i went wrong, but couldn't find another MD11 .cfg file anywhere! Really frustrated as dying to see the quality of them! Hope someone can help soon...ThanksSteve
