ps. I also tried to use an usb to ps2 adapter. I figured, since the LED did not come on the ps2 doesn't have any power circuitry....(?). It also failed within FSX, too.

So, Update, only thing that seems to work for the cure is disconnecting the throttle that is paired to the yoke. ..so, there.

Greetings from Tucson.... 1. Let me start by saying that my Saitek devices work fine in all my other aircraft and are updated with the latest drivers. 2. So, I open the default C90B and it's cold and dark. 3. So, when i begin to move the throttles forward from idle they begin suttering. They continue stuttering all the way to the full forward position. Upon reaching the full forward position they immediately jump back to idle. When moving them backward from the full forward position to idle, they are continually stuttering. 4. When the throttles are in the idle position, when the prop lever is moved forward past it's center position, the throttle levers drop down all the way into the "REVERSE" position. 5. After much searching the net I haven't found anything that talks about this. (So, it could just be me....ha) All help would be very apprciated. Thank You. ^_^Hello, I found this when searching for ways to reduce stuttering: "Delete the Shader and Shader10 folders and let FSX re-build them, back to smooth as silk." I'm a fan of DX10 Fixer and have it installed. Is it ok to do this without messing up my FSX..and might it work...??

So, the latest update of DX10 Fixer didn't help. I looked at my log of changes I've made in the recent past and saw that I had upped my TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD from 2048 to 4096. ... When I set the 4096 back down to 2048 I saw an immediate reduction in the flashing. What might that mean for me is no more 4096...hey?

Hello, I've run DX10 with the Fixer since it came out and it has been great. But, after installing ver2.2build45, it's not so hot. Hello, I started with unrealistically high expectations. I have a Intel i7 x980 overclocked to 4.2mhz. I found that even with that and a GTX 690 GPU the game just barely hit 13fps in the denser scenery areas. So, lower your expectations because with your rig you'll never get the game to run smoothly at the higher settings. Just the facts, mam. You would need to generate at least 4.8mhz with a super-duper GPU to run SMOOTHLY at the higher game settings. (same with FSX)

Keep you expectations low because you'll find that FSX and X Plane produce similar FPS. If you set up X Plane with similar settings as FSX you'll find similar FPS. If you get 10fps flying over high-density areas with maxed out settings you'll get 10fps in X Plane with the same settings.

Interesting....I never ran across this 'texture alert'. So, I wonder how many other little tidbits for the fsx.cfg file are out there but we never hear about....???

New user side note: ...I know how to put a "direct to" destination into the GPS using the "D with arrow" button. ...I haven't figured out how to put anything but a "direct to'' plan into the GPS. ...I figured out how to put a flight plan (.fms) into the FMC using its' ''LD'' button. ...I haven't figured out how to input a ''Route'' that is acceptable using the ''File Flight Plan" window.

Well, I can "Save situations" only if the "Save preferences" box is checked. "Load situations" works whether or not "Save preferences" box is checked. If "Save situations" is supposed to work even if the "Save preferences" box is unchecked, then I have some other problem going on that I'm not aware of....hummm.

I think it looks like I will have to have the "Save preferences" box checked if I want to save a situation. (Operations & Warnings/Startup/Save preferences)

um....not so much magic...it's refuses to save the situation. After entering a name and clicking save...nothing is saved. Oh Well.....

5.9.1 Creating a Reusable Situation.....Hello, I cannot for the life of me Save Situation..!! I'm following the manual: To create a situation (a .sit file), move the mouse to the top of the screen, click File, then click Save Situation. I see the Save Situation window...Shows the X-Plane folder, and Output and situations folders. The only option I have at this point is CANCEL and that doesn't save anything. Nothing goes into the 'situations' folder, so, no 'situations' to LOAD later.... (obviously, I'm a newbie of 4 weeks)

The Descentometer is one of Glen Copeland's many extremely useful gauges.... Now that I'm switching over to XPlane, I'm hoping Glen will update the Descentometer to work within XPlane....(too much to ask for...?...I'm hoping.)
