  1. Ok, Just finished a test flight YSSY to NZCH and the ILS auto tuned. Don't know what fixed it - I re-installed the T7, Navigraph AIRAC 1602 and deleted that RWY file in the NavData Folder. Something must have worked. Thanks for all the advice - really appreciate it! Cheers,
  2. Yeah I did. And re-downloading and installing the AIRAC did not fix my problem. I still get no ILS at NZCH for instance (T7 300 No Auto tune). Cheers,
  3. Miguel, Where did you find the updated AIRAC 1602 for PMDG. An updated version should read Rev 2 but I can't seem to find a Rev 2 for the PMDG AIRAC. I did log into Navigraph. Cheers, Don Dormehl

  5. Miguel, Thanks for your input but I don't think it is Navigraph. The FMC shows the correct Nav Cycle 1602 - all other aircraft including the NGX has no issues with the latest AIRAC. Done my second clean install with no success. Have re downloaded the updates and will give it another go. Very weird indeed in my instance, considering everything worked perfectly, prior to me performing the latest updates for the T7. Am I again the subject of the dreaded "Ghost in the Machine" event that nobody else experience. So be it - lets start the delete and install process again. Cheers,
  6. Hi, I have updated to the latest T7 200/300 updates and now both types don't auto tune the ILS frequencies when the ILS Approach is selected on the arrivals page. By the way, this all worked as advertised before the last update. I have removed the previous installation of both T7 versions as per instructions via the CP for a clean install. Just "PARK" is now displayed where the ils freq/with a small park would normally be on the NAVRAD page. Needless to say I am at a loss - no idea why it suddenly does not work. The locations checked so far is OMDB (FlyTampa) and OTHH (TaxiToGate). I always load the Long panel state when prepping for a flight. I have the latest scenery files and AIRAC data installed in all products. Any ideas? Don Dormehl

  8. Hi, I have these issues since updating to SP3. Even today ASN started downloading new weather data and just froze in that state. As I am still flying I'll have to wait till landing before using task manager to force a shutdown on ASN! Any ideas? Reasonably frustrating I might add. Regards,

  11. Gents, I fly both platforms (XPlane and FSX) extensively. I can say without any doubt there is no aircraft in XPlane that comes remotely close to complexity, appearance/modelling as does PMDG products in FSX. The closest contender would most likely be FlyJSim 732. As such, seeing PMDG products in XPlane, will greatly enhance the experience for any enthusiast in XPlane. Cheers, Don Dormehl

Personally I use FSX and X-Plane - it would be fantastic to eventually see the PMDG stable in XP, especially 737NGX and 744 V2.0 as there is nothing wothwhile in XP when it comes to those two types! As for the rest, not really necessary to get into a p@#%&$g contest over things you have no control of! -_-

  16. It actually does matter a lot when you consider the VAS limitation still exists within P3D. So no, it is not the same toke - something has to be done to re-code the old FSX rendering engine that is also used in P3D. If not, the frustration levels of users, and ultimately scenery/airport developers is going to come to a head. I am at that cross road now where I have to decide which road I am going to embark on. P3D would have been my obvious choice if a 64bit option was ever in the pipe line. Unfortunately that does not appear to be the case and as such I'll take the knock (in terms of apps not working cross platform), and move to X-Plane 10 64bit. Where I can become part of a larger community that will take X-Plane to new heights (this is only in regards to more developers making scenery and quality add-ons for X-Plane). Really looking forward to a long haul flight with scenery/add-ons etc where I don't have to worry about an OOM towards the end of the flight! This is not a contest to see which is better but merely stating a fact that something needs to be done to blow some new life into the old FSX rendering engine. Cheers,
  17. Hi, I am very patient and will get all the varients released by PMDG! Simple reason for that is that nothing else come close! And, my VA has a significant number of 77W routes. So, roll on 777 300, 747 400 V2! Cheers,

    Ok, After weeks of trying to find the issue my computer have with PMDG aircraft and FSinn I think I may have found the cause. Today I noticed that there was almost a 30 min difference between my sys clock and the actual time! At the same time my PMDG 744 lost AP functionality. I resynced the time woth Atomic Clock and set the update interval to 3 min. Immediately on syncing the time the PMDG A/P started to intercept VNAV/LNAV! Even though I have changed the CMOS BATT it seems that I have a defective mobo that doesn't maintain proper sys time control. There is an article under PMDG 737 NGX Support where AP and Press anomolies are contributed to sys and bios clock issues! Wow, I never thought that I would find the cause of this issue!     Hi, After endless emails, ticket opened and advice from everywhere I give up on trying to run PMDG 777 and NGX! After endless attempts of uninstalling/re-installing I can now not unregister the 777. Even after a license reset I get no activation screen thus she doesn't install properly resulting in endless anomalies that is driving me up the wall! Where should I start - weird cab press issues, fuel vanishing in an instant, batt discharge warnings with the engines shutting down etc. No, it is not the add-ons I am running as I have installed and run the 777 without any add-ons and anti-virus with no change. I say again - it is only my PMDG products acting weird, everything else works flawlessly! This lead me to believe that the PMDG aircraft on my PC are looking for some program or module that is either not there or an incorrect version. Heartbreaking stuff if you think that I have build this new machine specifically to enjoy the nicest aircraft in my collection (PMDG 777, NGX and 744X) Does anyone know of a FSX guru that can pissibly give me remote assistance in trying to solve this issue?   21. Hi, Anyone knows how I can rid my registry of any PMDG entries left behind after uninstalling. I really don't want to go the "format the whole drive" way. I have followed all their instructions but still can't get them (PMDG 777, NGX and 744 X)to activate properly. My internet connection is good so that is definitely not the culprit.   23. Gents, I have checked as recommended by PMDG the FSX DLL Trust Policy - that is exactly the way it must be. Also,checked the DLL.XML for correctness as advised by PMDG - faultless. Which brings me to the conclusion that this has to be a licensing issue. It is either that or I will have to fork out another $200 to buy these products again to install on my new computer. Completed a flight in my LVL-D 767 from YSSY to YMML and had NO ISSUES whatsoever! Explain that to me? Cheers,
  24. Ok, So my LVL-D 767 works no issues! But all my PMDG products behave weird A/T, AP VNAV/LNAV fails both 744 and 777, T7 also has this really weird cab press failure where it just shoots of the clock! Does this mean I have to now go and buy new PMDG aircraft (about another $200 odd ) just to get them to activate properly. Obviously there is something wrong with how their products are trying to activate on my new PC. If there was an issue with my PC then nothing would have worked properly but is only my PMDG aircraft! Something worth mentioning is that the values allocated to PMDG products in the trusted section of the FSX config file is 2 whereas the allocated value for LVL-D is 1. Could this mean something? Or, does this simply mean I cannot fly any PMDG products?!? Ideas?
