  1. Looks amazing Steve! I've always wanted an old TWA -600, but never requested it. It looks great, and I can't wait to fly it!!
  2. Anybody know why they even have two different types? I know it probably stems back from the airlines following the guages they used to have, but why did they come out with two different FD cues to begin with?
  3. Nice Steve! Man, you just keep churnin' out these paints! Keep it up!
  4. Steve, interested in an SWA -600? I really enjoy your other paints!
  5. Anyone up to make a Southwest -600? It'd be fictional, but it would be cool, especially since the -600 is very similar to the -500, which SWA flies.
  6. I remember seeing somewhere that it is good practice to select the landing gear off position after the lights had been extinguished for at least 10 seconds.
  7. +1. Also, the since I fly for Southwest Virtual, the -700 expansion was a no brainer. If you don't own the -600/-700, your definitely missing out; its almost as if you have a half a product missing. I love it.
  8. Please do, Ryan. This topic is brought up here at least once every 1-2 weeks. It seems that some people have a way around it, and some people don't. I think some sort rotary acceleration would be great, or maybe even a key command to increase the altitude in 1000 ft increments. Also, I think it would be a good idea to be able to have the CAs and F/Os minimums synced, just like the altimeter function that is already there.
  9. Yes. Just search "Chris Hicks" and you should be able to find it there.
  10. Also, in real life, the pilots rely on their experience rather than making sure they have flaps 5 at a specific point...basically a combination of experience and planning will result in not even really having to think of when/where to start the flap extension...
  11. They do, up to 7 degrees left/right, mainly for use on the takeoff/landing roll.
  12. I know that Southwest uses CI of 20 on all flights.
  13. Ok, I got it set up. I'm also scrolling at 200ft/sec, which is a drastic improvement over what it was. Thanks for the advice!
  14. That sounds like a great idea! What is the keyboard shortcut name in the FSX menu? I can't seem to find one that relates to minimums.
  15. Thanks for the input. This topic has been discussed before, and I have tried everything, from the scroll wheel, right mouse button, and setting a key command. However, when trying to advance the BARO Minimums to 6431, it takes forever. I was just hoping for maybe a feature to increase it by like 1000', instead of 1' increments.
  16. With SP1C, I see that a new feature is "SDK behavior related to accelerated knob/switch movements." Is it possible to relate this to the BARO Minimums knob? I won't go into a long discussion of this, because I know it has been discussed before, and a lot of us want this feature. In short, is this possible, and if so, how?
  17. First off, read the manuals/use the forum search function...they are your best friends. RNP = Required Navigation Performance. ANP = Actual Navigation Performance. You can choose to display them or not by using the FMC's built-in options feature.
  18. I couldn't fly the NGX with out it! Once you get it, you'll never go back, and you will always wonder, "How did I possibly fly with out this!?"
